Oh my god yes!! When I first started wearing my oxygen, I was in 5th grade and my friend asked if I would die if I took it off and then I gave him a disappointed look and like 5 minutes later I yelled, "I wanna die!" and ripped it off and he started screaming it was the funniest thing ever! *sigh* I was a cruel kid.

I remember when I was little that there was a lady at church who had oxygen and I always thought it looked like it hurt, but I never asked because I was really shy. Years later I had to have oxygen after surgery and found out it doesn't hurt.
is it bad that I don't have a filter when it comes to questioning someone who is sick. When my mom was in the hospital I stayed with her to help her and I would go to a person and go so what ya in here for? lol they actually like it better then being stared at.
I love when kids ask me questions. I can't remember a lot of them, but I do remember one, although I didn't get to answer it. I was in Disney World and I was wearing sunglasses for your sunny, I can see some, I know I remember hearing this little boy ask while blank you were sunglasses. I would've totally answered miss my family I hadn't been on come on and eat or not let me go by him. I really don't mind if anybody ask me questions, but I do really mostly enjoy kids' questions just because of how blunt and open they are about what they want to know. It's all through my eyes because it was me break down the walls ignorance for later on in their lives. This way, if they meet a kid who's different, with blindness or CF, they won't be scared of them. It'll be a positive thing for both of them and the other person. I wish someone had done that for me when I was a kid.
I was just talking about a time when I was in Disney World and a kid walked by me and asked his mom why blind people wear sunglasss, because I was wearing them, and even though I can see some, and it was a really sunny day because Florida. I didn't get to answer the question because my family wouldn't let me stop and answer it. I like answering questions. It helps the ignorance of the world go away.

Torie Barrett When I was in hospital after my tumor surgery a little girl who walked into my room to visit another patient was petrified at my sight (I had gone through 4 months of chemo already and had not a single hair on my body at that point) and started repeating "Look there's a doll!" over and over again. I guess I looked exactly like one of those mannequin dolls in retail shops, willowy thin, pale and hairless as I was.
How often are new treatments offered to you? Do you try all of them or how do you go about deciding which to try and which to skip? btw, you seem like such a fun and have such a positive energy- thank you ♡

Do you have to wear it to bed? Of so what happens if you roll and it comes off? Do you wake up or is it a risk that you could run out of oxygen in your sleep? 🤔😱

I was wondering what kind of physical activities you can and can't do. Like in gym class, can you do most activities, or only some of them? And I was also wondering if the oxygen tubes get in the way a lot when your doing physical things?
I have high level hypermobility. I stand with my legs bent the wrong way too, and a lot of kids ask if my legs are gonna snap, so I love explaining to them why I'm like I am. I fall over a lot because of this so it's hilarious because my friends know I'm fine, but I don't fall like a normal person, like a stumble and trip. I COLLAPSE. My legs give out and I hit the floor with a bang, so a load of people are asking if I'm alright and my friends are laughing, and I'm gasping, but LAUGHING ANYWAYS, and everyone's confused as to how I'm so used to this and I explain how it works. My friends offer to carry me up the stairs if my legs are particularly horrible but I always say no. XD
Okay, I am an adult and asking a question. I am someone who had asthma from 3 years old to 14 years old. It was pretty bad with Oxygen tents and shots of adrenaline but then I grew out of it. I never forgot the feeling of not being able to take a long deep breath because it felt like I was wearing the tightest shirt and it was restricting. Do you have that? Can you fully inhale or is there a little bit of resistance coming from the scarring that Cystic Fibrosis causes?
How do you know if you are running out? Does it have a gauge? How often do you have to check? If it runs out, how long before you have to hook up again?
Actually, I am curious about the nose thing if you don't mind me asking. One of my friends is in the hospital a lot because of surgeries and stuff, and he told me that he doesn't like the nose tube thing, I think it was a oxygen. I'm not sure if having it in at the hospital, is different from having it like you have it, so where does it go? Does it go down your throat, or is it just in your nose or where? Considering I get that kind of thing too, I'm not afraid to ask. If you don't want to answer, just so you don't want answer. I enjoyed blunt. Thanks for teaching me things! XD
The oxygen she has at home and carries with her is the same as in the hospital. In the hospital it comes out of a hole in the wall which has an adapter called a "Christmas tree". At home and even where else she probably has an oxygen tank that gives her oxygen. The part that's in her nose is just 2 tiny little tubes that point down the back of her throat. It helps to keep her oxygen levels up which are essential to living. People with Cystic fibrosis don't have the greatest lungs. So they can't breath as deep as we can which limits their oxygen intake. I hope this helped!!

I hope this question isn't too inappropriate or personal, but with your life expectancy and all do you ever want to love someone intimately? Do you wonder about the feeling of kissing someone you love or making out etc...Do you ever want to experience those things?
