I'd argue Bach sonata g minor isn't more suitable for kids, if compared to the Boccherini piece. Besides, some of the kids made good and yet simple points as to why they preferred one over the other. (this is just my thoughts) one thing i noticed particularly in eddy is how fluid his vibrato can be. very tight and very loose based on the mood of the piece. his musicality is also excellent, you can see him feeling the rhythm while also shaping the sound through his movement and with his bow. brett is more still, but is a very clear player. he plays every note with drive and purpose and it leaves that sitting feeling after he plays. i also notice that brett has very nice transitions of sound. when playing bach, he didnt just barrell into the double stops, it was light and airy and felt very natural, which reflects good control of the bow (and also shapes the sound very nicely) great job guys! :)

@@howimettheopera Yeah, the initial wariness vanishes once they see that you're competent and easy to work with (pretty much like for a manager in other work fields). @@Nonophobe That's exactly what happened to me when I had to conduct our amateur choir a few years ago ! Our conductor couldn't be there, and I was the least horrible musician of the bunch, so I replaced her. We had prepared something for a party with some friends. Around 150 people, counting the singers and the audience. I stood in front of everyone and just... froze. The choir conducted itself while I awkwardly stood there, unable to do anything whatsoever. They got lost and sang out of tune ; at one point, the alti just stopped singing altogether. Everyone politely clapped at the end because they were nice friends but I sat down absolutely traumatized. A total disaster. 😂 Since that day, I have unlimited respect and admiration for conductors...

Can I just say, and I probably say this a lot but this video right here, really tell you how much they have practiced and improved throughout the years even though they have started this channel seriously and have a lot of things on their plate. Because previously, old videos you can tell the sound isn't as refined, although it could be the audio/quality of the recording and the location itself isn't supporting this but either way it is quite good but wasn't as refined. And while they constantly self-aware and in awe at prodigies, they really meant what they say and keep practice you will get good, the immensely good young talents can reach a height higher? or maybe faster but ppl grow at their own pace and you guys are definitely the inspiration to us that you can continously grow and get even better at what you do. Looking at prodigies make you feel awe but looking at you guys and how you have grown thoughout the years make us feel inspired, genuinely. And seeing wholesome videos like this, not only showcasing the violin, classical music but also the dynamics, that you guys are still true to yourself even till now. I'm late to this vid but still love it a lot, your improvement was prominent, you guys sound much better. and coming from the 4mil concert, Brett sounds amazing! Can't wait for Eddy turn soon!
