Kids Next Door | Deep Thoughts 

You know, it is ashamed Galactic Kids Next Door never got picked up. Seriously, I would love a continuation of the original show because I did love watching it as a kid and even now I still love watching it. One thing I like is that they didn't treat all adults as bad guys. Hell, Number 5 in one episode said this:"We only fight bad adults." and that makes sense because I don't think the Kids Next Door would just beat up on any adult.(They may not like adults but they have understandable reasons for why they're fighting certain ones.) Though yeah, another thing I like about this show is that it handles continuity very well. Past episodes get referenced a lot along with previous events so although it may look episodic it also has a blend of continuity and thus I got more invested in the narrative,world and characters.(Honestly, I love shows that have on-going narratives. This show and Avatar The Last Airbender really do continuity excellently.) The next thing I really like about this show is that the characters feel very fleshed out and relatable despite the premise of the show sounding pretty silly. Number 4 for example though he is tough he also has his moments of feeling weak and he even cares for his friends. Though, the writers are aware most of the characters are still kids they give them enough depth to where it is believable even now years later.(It's a sweet spot I would say.) Honestly, I could go on with the many things I love about this show. It's a really creative,engaging,fun and great show. I think it's one of Cartoon Network's best shows and given their line up that said's a lot. I felt like it was excellent from beginning to end and though when it ended I did feel sad I felt like I got enough content to keep me good. And weirdly, it felt like one of the few shows where it ended where it needed to. It didn't have a cliff hanger nor did they drag it out for too long. It was arguably the perfect length for what the creators set out to do. Great review man.:)

The reason Cartoon Network doesn't want to go with Galactic Kids Next Door is because they have new people working there and they have different ideas than the people working there in 2008. They have a lot of crappy shows on CN nowadays. But I think its a good thing because they might ruin it. A lot of the reboots on CN aren't that great and the creator might be forced to make crappy decisions that end up ruining the show.

I think what made the KND so good is a few element Initially strength of the shows was that. 1) The main idea of kids fighting adults is one that people that can relate to. 2) The kids tech look like over the top versions of toys that you made out of junk at home. (this lowers the bar of disbelief while still having a cartoon feel to it) 3) The villians reflect very well on how a kid may view them (they fill a trope and are almost always have some level of being silly and dumb.... expect early father who in body the fear of adult wrath) 4) the case of main hero all have personality that where different, and play well off each other and allow for conflict that was believable with conclusions that felt natural for the most part. The reason it continue to do well is. 1)Development, Although the series was very episodic, the creators seem to understand how to flesh out characters and the world and and new elements that added to the mythos of the series. If you look at each of the main cast, they have strengths and weaknesses. but as the series progress you can see their idea of thanks challenge some times and them having to address that their flaws and not over rely on their initial nature. 2) The creators know how to add in humor and keep it feeling fresh, but not cheapen the danger It's been along time so I may not remember it the best. But it was a very magical world. ps I didn't know about those leek post series images. but man it makes me want to see the rest of it (it has such a dark feel for the galactic knd)

My thought on gknd is it can't ever live up to the original, BUT at this point it's about reviving the characters we're already attached to

knd is too well made to go back to cn. the people behind this show probably knew its all about the long game. this new stuff is all about the quick cash and getting in on fads, just weren't made for longevity.
