I like how to summarized it, so I am now intrigued. I will have to take a looksie sometime. Especially since I don't like the original as an adult. (Not because I'm an adult, but because of a lot of the implications within the show)
Umm except it does especially when comes to him as a father, everytime a situation happens especially in LA and him in hospital bed, it is always Blitz on his mind, not Via and he came to LA for finding Via but then doesnt even bother trying, it's just staying in the Studio and watch Blitz perform, if he cared for her and meant she's first on his mind then well I'd like to see it happen yet again doesnt, his way to locate Blitz without his Book on-hand is able to get into the location with Dhorks shows that his powers are not as limited as we are lead to believe, he can find her but chooses not to. Now for Stolitz, Stolas has always been about sex and he acts a victim and uncomfortable when Blitz finally decides to r-r-ravish him despite the Book being his target, not Stolas, the Book. Other shows have better writing and get things done more efficiently & with less time, this does not and Stolas is not even acknowledged as in wrong as Viv said, it's just Blitz and they changed him into fully hostile and antagonistic to make Stolas right, that's not at all the kind of person Blitz is & has never been.
I mean but he is maybe not the best but like in the Situation with stolas he was completely confused because first he felt like he did something wrong then he felt like he sasnt good enaugh and on so he couldnt hadle that and reactet with anger
I haven't seen the series but they really NAILED it with the art direction. so much more vibrant and textured than the original. They really took the tech available today to make something that would've been impossible back in the day.
I’m in the same boat with you, but truthfully, I believe they will address it anyway eventually. It’ll be weird for them to try to squeeze in so much drama within one episode. Personally, I feel like that a lot of people are just being impatient as hell and need to let the show tell the story.
im glad i gave it a shot, Rise taught me to not judge things before they land. I learned, and i see the results of that. This show is Fairly Odd Parents for the next generation. Its not actively trying to piss people off
I watched the first episode and it made me deeply uncomfortable to watch. The creature design is superb, but I'm really struggling to want to fire up the next episode
i feel like when cricket is stuck in space instead of going into song it would be so much better if they just left no music with justs crickets breathing .
I agree that Blitzo was wrong and is by far the more immature of the two. But I feel like you excuse some of Stolas’ issues a bit too much. Stolas did demean Blitzo in his attempts to flirt and there is a power imbalance there. But the main reason I can forgive Stolas over Blitzo is because Stolas is at least trying to be a better person and attempting to see things in other’s perspectives. At the end of the day someone doesn’t have to be a perfect person to be in a relationship but they do need to be willing to communicate. People like to say Blitzo did nothing wrong because he had trauma and hates himself. But they seem to forget Blitzo isn’t the only one who’s had trauma. In fact most of the characters in the show do. Yet Blitzo is the only one who never tries to positively maintain any of his relationships (even nonromantic ones) and uses his trauma as an excuse to shit on everyone.
Don't see how that shows the power imbalance. Stolas talks how he wants to blitz but he never stopped blitz from talking how *he* wants to him. If stolas had, that would've been an example of a power imbalance.
Ok. Unpopular opinion. Truth is I like how they dumbed down wanda. I love wanda as a straight men but this girls is no timmy. She wouldn't do half the nonsense he would so nerfing them by having her be the straight men and the two godlike being being moron is the only way I see it could have worked. I was afraid of her being a mary sue. Lets face it timmy was a prick in a Pink hat. And was ultimately unlikable By wanda being dumb it allow her to be a likable character and the issues to comes from the fairy
