Prince William told schoolchildren his favourite colour and his "best guard" on a visit to the Isles of Scilly. After arriving on a pilot boat and meeting local business, a pupil asked him, "is the King's son allowed to have lunch with us?", to which the Prince of Wales replied, "Yes, is that okay? I'd love to do that". Report by Laurence Brooks.

America "ditto," we love Prince William and the Wales family. His dignity, humility, love and respect for his job and the people is what PW is all about. It is REAL. He is having a good time. He teases and jokes with the kids like he would his own kids. He is extremely bright, impressive and extremely respected by all in formal situations with host country's dignitaries or dissing with the kids. He is so like his Grandmother, and maybe even more approachable with a fun loving personality.

I live in Washington state in the USA and I love and admire the British Royal Family. I am praying for both her recovery and King Charles' recovery may they both be back resuming their royal duties when the time is right for both of them.

The best judge of the worth of a man is how children respond to you. They pick up fakery and genuineness by instinct. You can tell how they responded to William with interest and enthusiasm. On the other hand, he himself is so relaxed with the children and truly interested in interacting with them. By the time his time comes these little ones will be young adults who will remember his sincerity and will keep the monarchy popular and relevant. Such a good, good man. Reminds me more of his father who loves meeting his subjects and always interested in them. The best of both of his parents.

I suppose on occasion nearly everyone imagines how amazing it would be to be royalty...and then you watch a video like this and realize it's just one of thousands and likely tens of thousands of obligatory chat-stops a royal like William will do for the rest of his life...and you think, dear God no. I'd implode after a month. I guess you have to be raised to it, that's all. Thank GOD for anonymity.

It works for some, but it's certainly not for everyone. You also have the entire public and media in your life and you are always under scrutiny. There are costs to their status and privileges and to wearing The Crown as Head of State of The Realms if you are the Monarch. If you like meeting different people all over the world and at home and travelling the World and have thick skin, it's marvelous despite those costs for those who enjoy it.

Given the turmoil in his life he presents himself as so relaxed amongst crowds of people. He's happy to chat, takes a genuine interest & is so cool with the kids... Nothing awkward or uncomfortable about his interactions. That's the 1 good thing I can say about his brother, he took benefited from their mother's insurance that they interact with people from all walk's of life from a young age.

He is such a classy and strong person, always has integrity. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 Australia ❤ he must feel so overwhelmed with so much responsibility, but he carries on. I respect him a lot, plus he defends his staff from bullies... hes a good leader, a man who has empathy and never plays victim because he knows his privileges and he doesn't take us for granted... he could be corrupted easily but he isnt, he is strong, same as Catherine. Australia loves them and their family...I'm progressive but I'm a monarchist, history and values are so important, and William and Catherine embody our best values and ethics.
