I saw how he still smiled when she asked who he was, and although I think it was a bittersweet smile, the fact that he seemed to be looking back at the memories like he was happy to have them made me feel better. I hope that makes sense
When I hear the questions about Jonghyun I was worried about our SHINee members, like... "What would happen if they ask about him? or How will they react or think about that questions? I see many comments about Minho, but did anyone else notice that Key looked really sad when saying it was their first time as a four and looked kinda sad when watching the footage? My heart goes out to them all.
Actually, the 4 of them looked sad. They all look like choked up and their smiles stiffened. The subtle eye twitch and the hard swallow they tried to hide. I rewatched this video as I got lost in the SHINee RU-vid hole again so this time I see more details about how they talked and their gestures. As a Shawol, this will always be something heartbreaking, even now, sobbing like a child is a norm because the pain remains.
The way that Minho said "he's not a bad uncle" make me think that childrens in Korea thinks that every people who left the group is because they're problematic and this considered bad :(
My heart almost melted with the way Onew, Minho, Key and Taemin talk to the children. When the girl noticed that they were 4... the way Minho answered was so sweet, as if JJ is still alive. Actually JJ is still living in our hearts and his voice will be forever with us.

A better translation than the one in the video would be "he was unwell health-wise", that whole exchange made me absolutely bawl, I think minho put what happened in the best way he could. Looking back at everything is always bittersweet but SHINee was 5 and always will be 5.

He really had that sad look on his face, of course they miss him, but I love how he pronounces his name even with joy and pride. And the way he explains why 'Uncle Jonghyun' wasn't there is priceless, with so much respect. Like I said, they really miss him, but they continue to make it amazing even without him (a really important part of the group)

This really made me feel uncomfortable. Yes, his face says it all. He wanted to cry but he just couldn't. Also Onew too. He literally broke down inside when he saw Jonghyun crying. That gave a damage to members for sure and I can't accept that. Channel could explain this to kids in a way they could understand. I think the channel owes an apology to both members and fans. This video is good but when you see those parts, it really affects people who love him. I had a really tough time that day and this video took me to that day again. I really think this is wrong and to make sure that this won't happen again anywhere, I want an apology.

lol very true. The inspiration for the comment was onew realizing they debuted before the kid was born and looking at the camera and going “that was a quick reality check” and he looked just so defeated and I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂
As someone who is the same age as him and has been listening to SHINee for 12 years I felt this way too lmao. Every time a kid said the songs were old-fashioned or retro I felt my joints ache and my skin wrinkle 😂

The kid with key was so cute. The girl with minho was not impressed in the beginning but as the discography revealed more she was clapping and she liked it. @GIGI Living the life they'd had and being the leader, Onew was always mature for his age. His tendencies for silliness and dad jokes are not a measure of his immaturity. Just like how silence does not equal maturity. The type of silence that is borne of anxiety from talking is not normal, especially when he didn't use to have it. So no, it's not a good thing.
I can’t even imagine what it must have been like for shinee when they lost a member the way they did. The look on Minho’s face when she asked about the missing member. I didn’t know shinee back then but I couldn’t even imagine what it must have been like for both the surviving members and the fandom.
Honestly, the way Minho handled the girls question was very mature. He didn’t want to make her sad and he also probably knows that with adults, the response would be something like “sorry for your loss” but with kids there would probably be a follow up question like “how?”

샤월이였을 때 최애였던 종현이가 잠시 쉬게 된 후로부터 샤이니를 의도적으로 피하게 된 일인으로서(보면 눈물이 안 끊겨서;;) 가끔씩 우연히 관련영상을 돌려보게 될 때면 피하고 싶다가도 보게 되고 막상 보고나면 또 펑펑 울고...이 영상은 여러번 들러보게 되는데 볼 때마다 민호가 돌려말할 때 눈물이 터지면서도 한켠으로는 따스한 감정이 들고...하지만 데리러 가는 여전히 온전히 듣지 못하는 한 곡이고...아 진짜 모순되는 심리네...
This video was my true introduction to SHINee. I didn’t even know all the member’s names when I watched it. Now I’m a year and a half into being a Shawol and I can’t imagine not having any of the five of them in my life.

I am in SHAMBLES. He answered in such a good way for a child to understand. And those of us who are old enough to grasp it, felt how that hurt. To be honest, I love Shinee very much. They’re one of my first favorite groups but it hurts too much to listen a lot. I listen in a very bittersweet way.
