I admitted it one time. I ended up getting yelled out. The person told me that he was better than me. People who don’t except the truth are the rudest people in the world. If you call someone a racist, you are too.
Not exactly if you call someone racist you either have good or bad reasons to call someone that maybe someone might have actually been racist or maybe they weren't calling out racism when it is indeed present is what we should be focused on learning to recognize what is and isn't racist.
that girl is cute and looks the way she looks because of the choices of her grand parents and the choices of her grand grand parents etc... now that she have updated her views on race, eventually her nieces will also look cute like all children are.. but this time differently and probably never be like her at that level... The last girl is admirable for her courage to stand against racism. She wasn't born racist, she was taught to be racist but she CHOSE to not be. Powerful message from such a little girl.
Racism is definitely taught by parents. When I was in grade school, back in the seventies, I asked my mom if she could give my friend a ride home and she said yes. When I went and got my friend and brought her to the car I could see a weird look on my mom's face. After she dropped the friend home and we went home my mom screamed at me and beat me because I didn't tell her my friend was black. I refused to adopt my parents racism and my friends accepted me and told me I was black like them because of the way I behaved. I kind of pissed off my parents more by marrying a non-white person and had four bi-racial children. I don't see people's skin color only their actions.
Good for you for sticking up to your racist parents! Unfortunately, I doubt racism will ever go away since modern society has made it such a major part of our own personal identities.
I'm African and I don't understand why the term "African American" is still being used to describe Americans of color. Nobody says "European American". Can someone explain this?
mdyiya I understand the origin of that term, it made sense 400 years ago when others were "Dutch American" etc, but if you, your parents, your grandparents are born in America, you're simply American. If you want to add race to it, you'd be "Black American", no?
I had a wonderful friendship with a girl in my high school and we had so much fun hanging out at school. One afternoon, I asked her could we possible hang out over the weekend or maybe go to the mall. She replied..."Our friendship must remain only at school; my mom is a blatant racist and she would kill me if she even saw us hanging out together on campus." It stung me so hard. It hurt so badly. I then realized that was why after school she would practically run off to "find her mom" when we were all outdoors. I'm black; she's white. Interesting thing is...many years later, we reconnected on FB and I discovered that when she went off to college, she never went back home to her parents; she learned just how "awful" they were when we got away from them. She married and has a lovely family and she and I are very much great friends again. Her parents, come to find out, were brainwashing her with all kinds of garbage and when she attended college and met other people, they opened her eyes at just how horrible her parents are.
No child is born racist. A "white" baby would cry as a "black" baby cries the same as an Asian baby cries. We are all the same. Humans are humans. We're taught racism.
@@carolynmonkou4526 Oh well, no time to look it up again. You're sure he was Black? Cos his hair was straight. Or, just wavy. He looked brown but not African: like an Indian type.

i have a similar story except its kinda bad... when i was younger my best friend had a darker skin colour. i watched the parent trap and loved it so i came up with a 'plan' to swap and she was gonna cut her hair shorter and we'd switch clothes and i was gonna wear dark makeup💀 i didn't completely know what racism was and i didn't know blackface was a thing so it wasn't meant to be bad
Someone give that last girl a high-five. To be her age and fight racism is big, but to be her age, and fight racism "against your own grandparents" is MAJOR.
Poetic Nation our kids are growing stronger and wiser honestly.. life is funny like that now that I see it. they see the bullshit racism is because it is bullshit, there's no way around it or defending it. I'm glad they see that even tho American education can be like it is.
Paul Reacts I disagree with some of your views. Racism does not protect what is pure, racism is a lie that is taught/conditioned into the human psychology. Racism is "hate," that is not pure. "Love" is pure, love protects what is pure, and every human being is born with that purity in their hearts. (Whether you agree with someone's views about their race and culture, as long as you show respect to their culture, and NOT practice racism, THEN you are fighting for/protecting what is pure - LOVE).

We all know racism is taught. I’m so glad my parents weren’t racist. At one point, my parents said that they would take away my phone if I was racist lmao. I remember at a young age, I was told “never hate anyone just because of their skin color” by my parents. Racism is taught by parents. I’m lucky to have parents who did the opposite
Imagine being in one planet, we all have eyes, mouths, ears, fingers, the capacity to think. Yet we use these to hate and destroy each other. The things we can accomplish if we just tear down these barriers.

If you put a one black kid, one Asian and one white kid in a room what would you think had happened? They'd start to play with each other until their parents come and tell them: teach them, that THEY don't accept it.
Why her parents put her in a majority black school if their most likely racist too if the grandparents are racists but I'm glad the little girl knows better because it usually just passes down to the child
My nephew is 7 years old and have like 7 friends, all white kids and I look at them playing all day. He's either at their place or they are at my sister's place running up stairs and playing games in the basement. It's incredible. I think to myself this is the greatest times of his life because chances are life will never get better than this for him. Little perfect world for him before it all goes away when they grow and begin to realize "race"
I respect the last girl that came on. On an average basis a child is or isn't racist because their parents taught them to be or not to be racist. Yet this girl seemed to have been bought up with racist grabdparents yet she still looked with her own eyes to check whether or not what information they were feeding her with was true or not. Especially at that age, it's remarkable.
these kids are parroting nonsense and mimicking and gimmicking bullshit related to what they are hearing/seeing . There is nothing shown here in this video that's not known for years. If u live inna mixed environment you'll be less racial.
It broke my heart when the black girl impersonated how a "white" girl talks and acts and acted like it's a bad thing. Everyone has a different perspective and racism in all forms sucks. If a white kid acted like a "black" person it would be considered racist, but when this girl did it nobody batted an eye.
You could say that about the parents parents then and so on. It’s a societal issue that goes deeper than saying the parents are to blame. People have biases they don’t even realize they have
MyLatestFix You’re right, it goes deeper then just the parents. I can remember my grandma telling me that all ppl are equal. To treat others as you would like to be treated. My mom taught my siblings & I the same thing. I taught my kids the same thing. Now, my kids are teaching their kids the same. So, it does go much deeper and far back into generations.
People are so dumb be friends with people who respects you. Date people who respects you. Marry someone who respects you. It is simple but idiots make it seem like rocket science.
So many people go out of there way to force everyone to "like" them today. Its pretty sad. They dont realize how unhealthy it is. At the end of the day, its YOU who decides to be around. Not the family, not society, YOU. Human will is stronger than people realize.
Charmaine Espeut Its rocket science to some because alot of people don't think like that which is infectious to one's response to this situation. if this makes since.
I love the reaction and response of the little girl at the end of recording, she is friends with everyone. God bless these children to Recognize the difference.
This breaks my heart. I lost it with the intelligent, eloquent young man who was talking about being bullied. Parents need to do better. This BS starts at home. Period.
I grew up with parents who were strong believers in treating everyone equally, no matter what. I'm happy to be friends with anyone who loves me as a person. My Dad taught me that I could marry any guy I wanted as long as he treated me right, and shared my morals. Everyone should be taught that.
When my son was about 3 he told me about his gf at daycare. He described her right down to the color of her pigtails holders but didn't mention she's black. After I seen her I ask why. He said he didn't know it mattered. Ofcourse I told him it didn't. I honestly had no idea so many people would have a problem with their child dating a different race.
It’s funny because everyone has the same anatomy, biology, and chemistry. We are literally the same exact species. Color of skin doesn’t change species.
I have no problem when I hear that my son is engaged to a white girl. As long as she is human, she deserves to be loved and respected, in that way we return the honor to her parents by raising her cause she loved my son.
Racism is normal due to the self-defense system in our mind. When we see something or someone you have never seen before or really different form you, the first feeling is not interesting, but vigilant;I It's normal; everyone is racist but on the different level.
racism is not normal...racism is taught. kids may have question when their young pertaining to different races cause they see that eveeyone is different....but it is 100% a taught behavior. kids are taught either by their parents or by experiences with other race based on their upbringing. racism doesnt actually exist...its a manmade creation. no one is born racist.
I had a friend i used to hang out with. When i started visiting his house to play videogames or just do stuff, and met his parents, you could almost cut the atmosphere in the air with a knife. It was so painfully clear how carefull and cautious they were with their words in fear of offending me. You could clearly see they are not used to interacting with people that arent white. My friend didn't really comment on that. In fact, i dont think he even noticed since he kinda was the same way, only difference is he was a little more honest with inappropriate jokes (that he never learned i didn't like despite how many times i told him) I dont really blame him, i blame his parents inexperience with the world. Of course i have many stories of racist experiences in my life. This was just one of them.
I live in Singapore where we are multiracial, about which around 76% are Chinese, 15% Malay and 8% are Indian. When my daughter was a toddler she would play with kids of all races and I never pointed out or identified the races of the children she played with as I didn't want her to distinguish people based on their race. I wanted her to see other kids as people first rather than kids of different races. When she was about 8 years old in primary/elementary school, I realised she couldn't tell if her classmates were Indian, Malay or Eurasian. (Btw, I'm ethically Chinese) She was so 'colourblind', she couldn't tell them apart. I realised it was time to point out and help her understand the differences. This was so she could be aware of cultural differences and be sensitive and tactful in her friendships with children of other races.
When the last girl said “but its like 2012 so they gotta push it aside” Im just here like 2020 Edit: omg thx for 141 likes! And i didn’t even have to like my comment😂
My daughter is mixed so I hope and pray this never happens. Her best friend now is mixed race like her so that's a relief but I want her to know that friendship is colorful and beautiful
No, we're NOT all the same on the inside. There are MANY other racial differences. Skin color is just one. Although I'm GLAD there are skin colors.....- makes me conscious of the 'other' differences, so I can avoid dealing with them.
TheFoxWhisperer What I mean is, what are the other physical differences racially. That's what the other dude was getting at. They were saying that skin tone is not the only physical thing that divides us racially. So, I was wondering what else they think divides us racially.
Cynthia Rapp that may be true, but it doesn't change anything. whether taught or not, the result is the same - the most caring, kind-hearted, loving people getting hurt, and sometimes abused.

Adults teach hatred period. Children are accepting loving and in most cases forgiving. When adults interfere with natural qualities children possess children out of obedience learn negative traits.
vibster2005 I have to disagree. I think teenagers look at what's presented to them on social media and resent themselves for not looking the way they want to. They then unleash their insecurities by lashing out at peers causing more people to have insecurities feeding this hateful cycle. That's just my, and a few friends of mine, experience. Why is it that toddlers become friends automatically, who laugh, hug and play with each other? It's because children don't see color. Adults could learn alot from them. My first best friend was black and my family loved him and his mom. He had no father sadly. He was in a car accident. It's unfortunate that children are exposed to this kind of hate. I pray for the future and the kids who have to go through this. It's sad. Take care everyone. 🤗
