Hey Kiefer. Saw your show in Hull last night. Having been a fan for years and listening to your songs for many months I was so excited to see you would be performing within an hours drive of me so my husband bought tickets and we were absolutely thrilled to hear you live. I would say pretty much note perfect which is not something you hear much at concerts these days. Most acts rely on gadgetry to tweak their voices but yours was superb. My only criticism of the show was the venue. A university night club with no seating was not the right venue. I would say that at least 80% of the audience had come to appreciate the talented vocals and see you in the flesh, sing along and enjoy your tales between songs. Unfortunately the majority of us could only HEAR the singing and due to the tremendous amount of background noise from the bar and the students who had obviously NOT come to appreciate the show and just get drunk, we could not hear what I’m sure were very personal tales between songs. On one song I think it was Saskatchewan you must have said something very touching as many people raised a glass with you and the lyrics are very moving, I only heard “and this is why I wrote this song” at the very end. Also, I’m 5’3”. For the majority of the show I could only hear you and to see you I had to hold my phone up and video and watch it on the screen. About 20 mins from the end I saw an empty table and with the help of my husband I clambered up to my knees and holding onto him I watched the rest of the show, delighted to be able to actually see and hear you. Perhaps your tour team thought small intimate venues were best but honestly I think they should have selected better. It was a bit of a spoiler as our tickets said free seating which generally means, first arriving get the best seats. Had my husband known it was all standing with me having chronic back issues I think he would have selected another venue and driven further. BUT all that being said, your music was great, loved singing along and perhaps you should release a dvd of the show once Monday night is done. I think it would sell well as there will be many more like me who didn’t get to see you very well. And if you do come back to the UK to tour for the next album, hint hint, PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE pick seated venues or at least venues where the stage is higher than the people so we can see you perform and not just hear you. Just up the road from where you played last night there is Grimsby Theatre which you would easily have filled, all seats, great acoustics, would have been perfect. Keep giving us great music and acting of course. From two fans Gail and Tony Lockey.

Hi Kieffer, I apologize I can't attend. even though one lives nearby the venue and 260 or 95 bus pass the venue every so often.... My family member just lost her employment due as usual..cut backs etc.. that song "something you love" really means a lot to my surroundings at the moment. Be it at home or work place. Currently one is staying with her..so... A bit sensitive for one to go and enjoying oneself....etc.. I hope to see your live concert sometimes in the future..at the same venue.
