This film is very important, as it presents Poland to the Jewish community not only through the Holocaust brought to Poland by the Germans but also through the centuries in which Jews found the best place to live in Europe. The partitions of Poland (1772), which offered refuge to many Jews fleeing persecutions in Western Europe, was the first step towards the troubles of the Jews in Europe.
