Hey everyone thanks for the good words and comments. We are very excited about this latest model from Jeff Kiesel, he spent a ton of time getting things Right before he decided to offer them.
@@kentheironman6499 you probably know by now but they have a online custom builder on their website. Its so fun to just build my dream guitars even tho i cant afford it :')
+Sanel “SanelVellaS” Vella I thought it was pretty good. I love comedy, but silly faces *all* the time wears a little thin. I have to say, I liked this vid. Though, was Steve yelling a little? He just seemed a little louder than normal to me.
+Sanel “SanelVellaS” Vella kinda prefer this tbh. i dont mind goofing off but the weird faces dont fit in reviews or tutorial videos imo. still love steve tho
He definitely djented through to the otherside......beautifully done stevie have been a serious fan since day one and you have been astounding inspiration for me and probably many more ;) keep up the great work
This is absolutely mesmerizing. Love the progressions throughout along with the hypnotizing solo, you sure know how to make her sing! Definitely looking at a Kiesel for my next purchase, keep up the great work!!
I've been waiting so long for someone i watch constantly to upload a video with a multi scale guitar. I've wanted one so badly for the last two years, they seem like they're so much better for everything
The demo feels like Sithu Aye style, love it man! You definitely should release some instrumental prog demos (EP maybe =D), you've got the skills and would love to hear more of that.
Dude that solo between 1 and 2 minutes..... love it!!!! I like how Steve can keep it simple with some feel at times, and it sounds great...instead of constant speed shredding sounding like robot jazz metal.
+Ergo Incomplete There is Aries 6 string normal scale for 900, very good price for a custom usa made guitar. For 1300 i would buy Vader, no headstock model.
+Ergo Incomplete Well that's Carvin for you. Not worth it imho, you can get a multi scale 7 stringer for like 500: www.rondomusic.com/pend72527rnblkflm.html
+dimitriid Apples & Oranges. Agile is made in Korea, production model and pretty cheaply made, low quality hardware, crappy pickups and frets.Sure they look nice but you will have to spend some more money and mod the living crap out of it,in order to make it a good guitar. Kiesel/Carvin is USA custom shop, made in San Diego California, on the same level as most boutique manufacturers, like PRS,Suhr or Jackson USA.They build guitars since 1946! Name me one USA custom shop who makes you a custom shop instrument(not a production model) for under 2,500 Dollars. The Aries starts at 900 US Dollars, for a bare bones model.
I love the fact that when it comes to being serious about ur playing, you write fantastic material. I mean.... U know and play solos just like they were written.... I really like how u play.
Never owned a Carvin guitar, but I bought my first Carvin XV212 tube amp back in 1985 and I still use it today. It went thru tours, studio mayhem and even a house fire and is still a powerhouse. A few new tubes along the way, but aside from that; nothing has ever come close to going wrong with that amp. Carvin built amazing stuff in those days. They were hit and miss in the 90's...mostly miss in the audio gear end of things; This guitar looks like they are making a quality comeback.
"Anyone who's owned a Carvin..." I've owned one. It was shipped with a ding from the factory, and missing a switch I ordered. Carvin took it back to fix the ding and add the switch, and said "give us 2 weeks." 2 months+ later, I get the guitar... The ding is fixed, the switch is still missing, and nothing comes out when plugged in. I sent it back, got my money back, and bought a Music Man.... So, Stevie T... "Unsurpassed" is a vast overstatement.
+Jack Koenig I'm glad someone has a positive story. I don't, and would never recommend these guitars. Swapping the name to "Keisel" changes nothing, IMO.
+johnland82 absolutely agree, buddy. :) But it's how you're treated after it goes wrong. I also had two amps from Carvin at the same time (Legacy 1). The first one, the clean channel flat out didn't work. The second, the speaker cab had a wicked unnatural vibration (like a screw was loose). Sent that one back and bought a Mesa/Boogie. I had a problem with one of my Music Man's, and I was straightened out in 3 days... That's customer service. Carvin could have had a lifelong customer, but instead I feel I have to share the bad with the good whenever I hear someone say Carvin is "unsurpassed". :)
+The Blue Avenger What year did you get your Carvin? They've been around for quite a while, and Carvin definitely didn't always have the reputation (in terms of build quality nor customer service) that its earned as of late. It's been in the last 1-2 years that things really took off.
I just want to say that I really like your videos and also, you're the only non-french youtuber that I follow because I can totally understand what you say. The fact that you speak quite slowly and you articulate REALLY well is a fuckin' good thing for people like me who are not confident with english. Thanks. ;)
Great playing, very nice guitar. I've worked on a couple of somewhat older Carvin guitars and basses.... My impression is they all were very nicely made, had beautiful fretwork and set up well. We did change the PUs on one of them, resulting in noticable improvement in (clean tone) playing dynamics for a VERY good player. Too bad there arn't more around people can try-and-see.
So? I think Stevie did a great job regardless, I loved seeing him actually being serious about something sponsored or not. I actually congratulate him on being sponsored by such an amazing company.
I love the way you play. Your technique, tone, feel and phrasing are top-notch. Thanks for the Carvin review. Those fanned frets look intriguing. I have a couple of Carvins and they are awesome. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, humor, and talent.
Awesome guitar. I have a DC727. I got it years ago before they came out with all these new guitars with sweet body styles. The guitar hasn't needed a setup yet, just rock solid even with a Floyd Rose. Carvins are so highly underrated. I think Carvin owners are the only people that know how great they are especially for the price.
Carvin has proven their incredible craftmanship over the years. They had issue with pickups - don't know what changed now. I own DC727 with Seymour's, and I have only positive recommendations
Just wanted to say, you are absolutely freakin awesome, an amazing musician and an unbelievebly great guitarist, I thank heaven for givin' earth talented people like you
This seemed like a very professional video Steve. I like that you put aside the comedy for a second to legitimately talk about the instrument. I know making faces is your gimmick and i'm not saying stop with the comedy aspect ,but a serious video now and again isn't bad. Good video and if you got the guitar for free to keep than that's even better.
Please make a video explaining what makes an ideal metal guitar vs what makes an ideal rock/blues guitar in regards to it's construction/components in relation to tone and the strengths and limitations with the "Hay-van" and the "Nice lady!"
Love my Carvin DC127 more than any other guitar I've played! Love the fact that you've been playing their brand for awhile and I definitely want an AM7! Maybe one day in the future!
This is a great demo bud!!!! Nice to see you putting in a more serious light. Although you have made me laugh my ass off this was show casing your skills and letting it be known you are not a joke when it comes to your compositions. Outstanding!!!!!!!
Steve, I have to tell you.... This piece REALLY sounds like it could have been written by Fred Brum. Very well done. I dare say... "Impressive tones", and "impeccable fluidity".
I remember back in the day seeing Pail Gilbert rock a fanned fret, and wondered what it was for, one thing commonly brought up is ergonomics. Anyone who has ever played on a multiscale guitar notice much of a difference, if at all in fatigue and strain. I got a work place injury(rotator cuff) a few years back, and isn't gonna heal(with out surgery). I plan on getting it eventually, after I come with 30 grand, so I am open to any sort of "band aid" solution in process.
Carvins have always been pro quality and to find a older used carvin it's crazy how cheap some are but the prices are going up on them for being recognized now days as original high quality shred machines now with what kiesel is doing it's the best guitar money can buy in my opinion for quality n craftsmanship I remember carvins R series bass amps are sweet amps the R600 and R1000 bass amp heads are just amazing stuff
