The micro-mesh we use in the main body of the Kiger has similar abrasion-resistant properties as Superfrabric however they are not CE-rated since they don't have integrated impact protection. The Kiger pants are very tough and the micro-mesh itself passes CE 17092-2 abrasion tests exceeding the AA/zone 1. The Kiger could be used for road or dirt riding.
Mosko love you guys, your gear has supported me very well on my KTM 500. These pants look great but how would you say they compare to a traditional mesh motocross pant? More airflow and better durability?
Since our Kiger Pants are almost entirely made of mesh they flow a ton of air with the bonus of the mesh material we use being durable enough to take multiple beatings!
Seems to be perfect pants for hot summer days ! I am just surprised that a Kiger Jacket or even a Kiger Jersay ( in pants matching colours ) is not available yet ! Are you working on it ? If yes , when Kiger Jacket could be available for sale ? I would be interested in that combo ;) One else. If this mesh material is so breathable , I don't think that another extra pocket would make so much air flow obstruction to reduce breathability and comfort . Personally I would prefer Kiger Pants with 2x cargo pockets, or....simply make the Woodsman OTB Pants from this Mesh Material and you will get fantastic summer Dual Sport Pants with much better abrasion resistance than current woodsman pants ;) Oh ..almost forgot ! Would you be able to upload on youtube any movie with Jackaloft Insulated Jacket , showing how it fit over the armor , please ? I cam imagine that chest/back protector would better fit on top of Jackaloft , but what about elbow protectors ? Could you demonstrate Jackaloft fitting with over and under full Armor ( elbow, shoulder , chest and Back protection )?
We''ve discussed doing a Kiger Jacket and will likely do on in the future. Nothing really to share at this moment since we're in the early stages of that product. We initially only added one thigh pocket for breathability but the more we ride in it we also think we need a second pocket. Something we're considering for version 2 of the pants. Thanks for the video suggestion for the Jackaloft. We'll pass this along to Pete to see if he has plans for a Jackaloft video. If you're going to wear your armor under the Jackaloft you might want to size up since the Jackaloft was designed to be worn under armor so it's cut a little slimmer.
The Kiger and Surveyor Pants are the same cut but with slightly different materials. The Kiger is made entirely out of mesh whereas the Surveyor has the same mesh but only in the knees, crotch, and butt. The rest of the Surveyor is a four-way stretch ripstop Cordura. We are getting ready to upload a new video on the Surveyor Pants so stay tuned for that!
@MoskoMoto thank you.. I order the Kiger.... I make my choice ... like you said ... temperature range... my area are Badland Alberta...dry and hot. 👍👍👍
Are you planning on releasing more road focused adventure mesh gear with integrated armor? Currently, Klim is the only company that offers AA rated mesh gear with stretch (klim marrakesh). I would love to see moskos take on this. I also think this would be very popular.
We've talked about making a Kiger Mesh Jacket but nothing to report at the moment. We'll be sure to pass the demand on to our Apparel Design Department.
