I think the meaning behind this song is that, people feel more free at night than in the morning. In the night all you want to do is have fun because there's barely people around. Your free to do what you want without judgement. Most of the time alone. That's why they say "Sing the song of night and freedom". Nice i like picasso

2:52 gosh i love thsi scene, bcs it feels like both happy and sad depending on how you interpret it. clearly, there is someone suffering, unhappy, but then the 'creature of the night' comes into the room to take them away, and you can see how the person looks so much more happy and free (literally even says it in the subtitles) once they're flying away, one with the night. its kinda like peter pan in that way

Kikuo, maybe this song transmits more than it should. I am not a relatively remarkable person, I do not usually attract attention and I go unnoticed in front of the majority. I don't think that's the reason why "Yoru no Uta" makes me feel high feelings, I mean, the melody, the rhythm, the lyrics, the composition of the whole song makes it excellent for someone like me. Especially at the moment when I feel so free that I could navigate among the clouds and feel alive. The heaviness that rests on my shoulders is released, of course, It is the clear example of a free, lucid dream. I actually feel more capable during the night, but in the end, I can only start from dawn.

Maybe you don't have to start at dawn! Some people are naturally night owls, and there seem to be plenty like you judging from this song! Like me! My takeaway from this is that, even though dreams themselves aren't real, the fun you can have in them is, and the memories they make rally tend to stick. Self propelled flight, freediving deep underwater, or gaining the powers of your favorite heroes are all things that are borderline impossible, but it's to be expected when you dream.

My idea is that the song is about a pleasant dream demon: while half of the song is narrated by the dream demon, the other half is narrated by a victim(?) the dream demon, I assume, is able to take peoples conciousnesses and being them to experience wonderful things outside of their bodies with the "song of the night".

2 songs in one month? kikuo never make us dissapoint! what a beautyful! and the most that make me feel nostalgic that at 4:03 . the ending sounds like "kara kara kara" the song 3 years ago and still my fav till now
