Yaelokre - "Harpy Hare" 𓆱 (Illustrated Song) 

You are all very kind and curious, thank you for keeping ear and eye! To those who have just arrived, a small introduction may be best to grant-in exchange for the fondness these fellows have received 🙇🌾 Meadowlark is a field where everything i foster is kept. From each narrative, song, and characters, it is not a place but rather a bridge. A story that tells stories within more. A fairytale! 🐦📖🌾 The current main faces are four older children in a musical ensemble called "The Lark". Their leader, Cole, wears a hare's mask, their stage partner Clémentine with a goat's, Perrine as the moose, and Kingsley representing nature, tree (Can be anything really!) 🐇🐐🫎🌳 The four perform plays in small wooden stages with songs that were once sung by the Harkers "The Harkers" are a quartet of wandering singers whos purpose is to grant wonder and foretoken. Consisting of the Storyteller, Yarrow (the) Bell-ringer, the Enkindled, and the Croon 🌾🔔🎭🪶 Thank you for listening to Hayfields, it serves as a prelude to Meadowlark as a whole. I cannot wait to tell the rest of the story through song :~)

Those characters have the vibe of someone that will trap you in a fae circle BUT they also have been trapped ages ago and so they keep the cycle going

FOr some reason I misread this song as "Happy Hare" so I thought it was about a hare that frequently killed its litters of children. So when the hare started looking a bit too chipper these forest fellas were like "God Carol what have you done with the kids this time?"

THE STORYTELLER HAS BLESSED US MORTALS ONCE AGAIN, BEHOLD FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM NOW HAS ILLUSTRATIONS

Idk why anyone hasnt brought this is up but i love the way that all the characters (mainly clementine and cole in this song) have their own individual sound. Im not too sure if there are multiple people or just one but if there is just one i want to give a HUGE KUDOS. I especially love the final "tell me so i say" because it sounds like the whole group is shouting. anything i love this song sm RARRARARARARAR

The Croon jumpscare at the end 💀💀💀. Can't wait to learn more about their story!!!!

Ok things I have noticed but have no clue how much importance they hold - Cole seems to often the focus on things, literally also often has the role to demand sort of (Tell me so I say) also has scenes with lots of lyrics explaining more of the told story of the song, Cole also is seen to be seemingly told a secret by Clementine WHILE!!! SITTING ON THE THRONE and is also often the first to appear or stand out sort of, all others appear one after other dancing while cole is sitting - Kingsley; the two scenes with him that stand out the most to me with him are first of all the one where he comes closer and closer to us (the screen) during the line: to be hid, which certainly not only gives the vibes of being certainly having something up their sleeve but also the hiding part can be scene at the near end i would say with the part with the stool, he holds his ears shut!!! Either being told to not know or willingly not wanting to know .. or giving the impression to not being able to hear while the opposite stands still, one could of course point out more with the simple pose of holding one's ears shut - The elk/etc person (i forgot her name, sorry) She seems to be the leader but yet rather is just there to cause like a final decision not being very much in the front or in the spotlight, only shaking her head after Cole inquires and such and at the throne scene leaning onto it from the back, being there, listening and etc but not stepping in yet sorta - Also the figures at the end!!! while at the beginning I thought they were simply more elaborated yet somehow connected to the four designs I do not think it is all in all even if some of them look very similar to some; the first one to appear seems reminiscent to the Storyteller (Yaelokre's persona) the second was clearly a lamb/sheep (very reminiscent to Clementine), the third one seemed to be made by trees and branches and such and placed in the middle seemingly loomingly (this one reminded me of Kingsley and I also saw someone point out that kingsley is supposed to represent a tree) the last one tho seemed also to not only have a different animation to reveal itself compared to the other three but also it seems to be an elk skull with some sort of ornaments, clearly representing the elk girl but why did no rabbit appear, why is cole missing ... my guess it has to do with Cole's seemingly importance and therefore sharing a tight link with the story teller but i am not too sure anyways thank you for listening to my ramble ^_^ i hope you enjoyed it and perhaps if you want feel free to share yours please!!!

I guess this means Perrine sings too! Now I’m noticing the voice is different. You’re so good at bringing each kid to life! This video enhanced an already fantastical song

i love how this feels like a morbid ring-around-the-rosie. (well, more morbid, lmao) but the children’s game you realize is incredibly messed up and dark once you’re a little older.

Love the designs at the end. Especially that one that looks really like an adult Kingsley.

My heart is literally racing, I give up all attempts at something clever to say.. In order of what I saw and loved most about this- I love the almost disapproving shake of Perrine's head at the humming parts I love the chair and how they share it and what each of them is doing and I love the drawing of the storyteller at the end (I loved everything about the song but these three things just stuck so fondly in my mind)

when i first listened to harpy hare without context, i idly wondered why some of the verses were sung with such a different cadence than others, and now i know it was because it's supposed to sound like more than one person singing it!! love the attention to detail with each of their voices

I absolutely adore your artstyle. Like, if someone tried to tell me a legend or a picture book had your drawings I would believe it. Your style feels like magic idk how to describe it. In addition, every character is so consistently unique, down to their hands being subtly differently shaped. Every design feels perfectly fit together, too. I wonder how long it took to design the bunch. Amazing job.

i love that the character’s hairs match their animal masks, like the lamb has curly hair that looks like ram horns, the moose one has pigtails that mimic the horns, the rabbit with the straight hair mimicking floppy rabbit ears, this song and the art is super cool i love it:)

Every bit about this is very lovely. I'm especially impressed by how good the lip synching looks the couple times it pops up. 1:22 is just mesmerizing.
