If this eruption is linked to the magma from the summit, it would mean that the floor at the summit could collapse again?

I was thinking that was a good spot for an eruption, but then I remembered people are starting to rebuild in some of the place Pu'u O'o covered. still, it's unusual for eruptions to go for that long so hopefully this will be long enough to be a good tourist attraction without leaving the boundaries of the park.

Looks a lot like the fissure eruptions that have been happening regularly in Iceland recently. Except for the Lavafall, which is pure Hawaiian.

Love lava falls. What are the output estimates?

Years ago used to live in a studio at mile marker 19 on Volcano HWY in the rain zone. Loved it there until I could not longer afford Hawaii. Love the Islands born Honolulu 1944. Be safe brothers and sisters. Pele is not happy with some of the people of Hawaii.

Why don’t you tell the truth that this eruption is happening at the upper Puna border with Volcano National Park about 500 ft inside the park .. And yes it’s imminent that if this eruption continues it will send lava flows with gravity into the ocean entering at or near Paradise Park subdivision … Because Puu oo will deflect it to the highway 11 side of Puu oo and not allow the lava flows to head down with gravity to Kalapana ... If the lava wasn’t pooling in the Napau crater lava flows could be halfway to the lower Puna district now … And who knows how far downslope these fissures will travel .. It’s possible we’re witnessing the new Puu oo being formed that could erupt for Decades .

The timing of this eruption is very very interesting.. I just purchased two brand new SUV'S for myself and my son and filled them up with gasoline at the same time this eruption started.. Just more proof of climate change, global warming.. I am getting rid of our SUV'S first thing in the morning because I feel so incredibly guilty for contributing to the destruction of the planet .. I can't stop thinking about the endless tears of the great Greta Thunberg as she grieves over our planet because of the stupid and irresponsible actions of people like me .. These volcanoes would not be erupting, these hurricanes and tornadoes would not be as frequent or intense if we would just get away from oil and gas and get with the green new deal great Americans like Representative Cortez, AOC, are trying to teach us all about ..
