We taste the Kilchoman Machir Bay together with two of our Collaborative Vattings. Kilchoman Machir Bay is the flagship of the independent distillery. The Collaborative Vattings allow the ratio between bourbon and sherry barrels to be determined individually. For the joint project between the Islay distillery and Whisky.de, certain percentages of bourbon and sherry casks were selected in order to create a balanced taste.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of the Kilchoman Sanaig today. It’s very good, and I’m seeking the Machir Bay. Thanks for the excellent review.

Just found a bottle of Bowmore 10 devils cask release 2. For 86 us dollars. I've been looking for it ever since horst reviewed it 5 years ago

A surprise to me was the Kilchoman Machir Bay. A Big Ardbeg Uigeadail fan the Machir Bay brings a wonderfully lasting rich peat flavor much like Ardbeg. Kilchoman seems to be on the cusp of exploding onto the Islay scene.

I hope you fill them more than these two do. I know it's just tasting but come on with that amound they pour my tongue is not wet.😛 I always poor like 4cl. Sometimes 5..
