Like Charles Hunger says, thanks for the demo! I already knew in theory how to operate Kilduff lightning rod shifter (3 stick manual drag race shifting for 4-speed automatic transmission), but now I know how it's mechanically done. I guess that they have spent lots of time to get so simple design. :-)
The biggest thing is he figured out its better to pull upshift than push like Hurst does. In any car thats semi fast, its kinda hard to lean foward and shift
Yes throw it down into 1st then when ready pull back into 2nd then into 3rd without accedently going from 1st to 3rd, overshifting . Most cars will stay in 1st until you shift that can blow something up learn your shifting pattern
So... How does it work? Ir is basically moving the plate, which tells computer when to switch gears or there is some mechanical linkage to the actual transmission? I really don't know :D
Ramiro Pinon This particular model is for a gm thm 400 3 speed, will not work on a 4 speed. like most if not all shifters they are transmision specific, you should visit his website to see if he makes shifters for imports, www. Kildufmachine.com
LiesintheNews TruthintheMovies Please see the website Kilduff shifters. I am just a guy that bought one of their shifters their website as a phone number you can call his name is Brian really nice guy
