Strong duct tape was a massive help in my war with bedbugs. I taped it all around my bed sticky side up and also taped all around the bottom of my baseboards as the were hiding there. It's worked a treat, I also bought a steamer to clean any infected areas. I have dyatamsus earth on hand but haven't seen bugs or been bitten in a few weeks. I pray they're all gone now. Bed bugs are horrible bug beasts.

That's some ingenious thinking, using strong duct tape to combat those bed bugs! It's a clever way to trap them and prevent them from reaching you. Taping around the baseboards is a smart move since bed bugs are notorious for hiding in such places. The combination of duct tape, a steamer to clean infected areas, and diatomaceous earth sounds like a thorough approach to dealing with those pesky critters. I'm glad to hear that you haven't seen any bugs or been bitten for a few weeks; it's a promising sign that your efforts are paying off. Bed bugs are indeed a nuisance, and I hope your pest control strategies have successfully wiped them out for good. Wishing you a bug-free and peaceful night's sleep! 🛏️🐜🙌😴

@@CiaoBedBugs I'm in Scotland so the weather is getting colder, I've read they are less common in the colder months. It was the end of August I found some bugs on my beds head board and coach, both were thrown out. After studying bedbugs online I noticed signs that the house had signs of dead bugs in one of the bedrooms from the previous owners. I believe they were here hiding when we moved in two years ago. So they stayed hidden for 18 months until the warm summer just past. I could be wrong but they can go a long time without feeding. But duct tape is brilliant for stopping them from getting to their food. Tape it sticky side up around furniture and make sure are cracks are sealed with silicone or tape. I'd rather have sticky tape everywhere than bedbugs! Another good tip is to were light clothing and pull you're socks over your trousers to stop them climbing on you for their blood meals. Light bedding also. Good luck to anyone out there dealing with these pests.

@@bazjr86 Thank you for sharing your experiences and the valuable tips for dealing with bedbugs. It's essential to be vigilant year-round, as bed bugs can be resilient and adaptable. Your duct tape solution to create barriers is indeed clever, as it helps in trapping them and keeping them away from their food source. The clothing and bedding advice to reduce the risk of bites is also practical. Here are some additional facts about bedbugs: Bedbugs are known to harbor in a variety of places, not just beds; they can hide in furniture, luggage, and even behind baseboards. These nocturnal pests are attracted to the carbon dioxide and warmth humans emit during sleep. Moreover, they can go without a blood meal for several months, making them challenging to eliminate. Their rapid reproduction, resistance to pesticides in some cases, and the potential for travel-related infestations emphasize the importance of early detection. Good luck to anyone dealding with bed bugs. It's tough.

Exterminators don't want you to know that cheap store brand white distilled vinegar, full strength kills bedbugs on contact. Most effective way. Use a pump spray.

Yes a combination of diatomaceous earth, bed bugs interceptors cups and a bed encasement on top of vinegar can do the trick for these pests. No need in some cases to break the bank.

No matter where bed bugs are hiding, EVERY BED BUG HAS TO COME OUT of hiding and WALK ONTO A HUMAN to feed. We are their only food source. This makes It easy to kill them. Most of the bed bugs will nest on or close to the bed, sofa, or easy chairs so they only have a short distance to walk to feed on a human, which minimizes the risk of being seen. Lift up the mattress and box springs to vacuum all the folds, fabric cracks, between the joints and screw holes, every centimeter where bed bugs can hide. Vacuum inside the bed, behind the bed and under the bed. Repeat for the other furniture. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c3Gd7qYmp_c.html When I had bed bugs I used only Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth and painted a 6 inch wide circle of the dry powder with a soft brush all around my bare mattress. It was applied very thinly, almost invisibly, so the bed bugs would walk over it. Thick piles will repel them and they can scatter all over the house. I didn't make piles. I was careful to avoid puffing it up into the air or inhaling any of the dust. I slept in a sleeping bag in the center of the bed so there was no bedding hanging over the edge. Bed bugs had to walk across the DE to bite me while I slept. I was the bait in this bed bug trap to lure them to their death. Not all the bugs came the first night. Bed bugs like to feed about every 5 days if they have not been disturbed by chemical sprays or other repellents, and they feel safe enough to leave their hiding places. The hungry bed bugs bit me for the last time at night, and walked back across the DE to return to their nest. The blood attracted their friends, and they snuggled up to share some of the powder clinging to their bodies. They dried up and died together. I didn't get very many bites, and after a week there weren't anymore, but I continued to sleep this way for more than a month to make sure the NEW BABY BED BUGS that hatch from EGGS several weeks later would also be killed to clear the entire infestation. This was the cheapest, laziest way to exterminate all the bed bugs. They did all the work of killing themselves while I slept. There were no more bed bugs in the house and no work for me to do. If I ever get bed bugs again, I will apply the food grade Diatomaceous earth thinly to my mattress and put a portable Sansbug BUG TENT on top of the bed. After the bed bugs smell me and walk across the powder, they WON'T BE ABLE TO GET INSIDE THE TENT TO BITE ME! The DE will kill all of them.

Your detailed approach of applying the Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) thinly to create a trap for the bed bugs and then sleeping in a controlled environment seems both strategic and effective. In addition to your successful use of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, incorporating home remedies and steam cleaning can further enhance your bed bug management efforts. Many individuals have found success in using natural remedies such as essential oils, such as tea tree oil or lavender oil, known for their insect-repelling properties. These can be mixed with water and sprayed on affected areas, providing a non-toxic alternative to chemical pesticides. Furthermore, steam cleaning has proven effective in eliminating bed bugs and their eggs from various surfaces, as the high temperatures can penetrate cracks and crevices where these pests may hide. Using a steam cleaner on mattresses, furniture, and other potential hiding spots can be an environmentally friendly and chemical-free method to complement your existing approach. Good luck!
