Only the voice in the beginning is by gulzar sir (same in sajde) Rest song is sung by sonu sir and shankar sir Shankar mahadevan in my opinion is easily among the top 5 bollywood singers of this century

You *NEED* to see Sonu's live performance of this song! You'll be shocked. It's absolutely out of this world and impossible for someone else to sing. I think he again sang better than original. Can choose either the Haldia trade fair one or London 2015 your choice . In the London one he's done gulzar sir's mimicry too.

I'm so glad you finally listened to Shankar Mahadevan. He's really good (you should listen to his 'Breathless'), not just a singer but also a composer (Shankar from the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy). Gulzar is India's one of the best and renowned lyricists and filmmakers (his movies are ❤️). The recitation in the beginning is Gulzar.
