I'm a horror aficionado and any horror fans reading will know what a fruitless search horror buffs embark on time after time in the hope of finding a film that genuinely scares them. Well, this films is absolutely chilling and maintains its claustrophobic grip on you throughout - really it does. What a fantastic film and not many people know about it.
Kill List is one of the most frightening films I've ever seen. Years after watching it, it's still with me, haunting me. The film moves from dramatic realism with believable dialogue, to the scenes of shocking, unflinching violence to revelations where you feel the rug has been completely pulled out from under your feet. The film isn't just frightening, many films can frighten; Kill List is disturbing, the sort that sticks with you. I have to praise it for that, despite not being particularly happy with being haunted by it!
i love the talk on approaching violence in a sort of "non-cinematic" way, i remember seeing come and see for the first time and the bodies of villagers just piled up behind a house well out of focus of the frame and its just there for a couple of seconds it just stuck with me how brutal that scene is and even not drawing attention to it just put you in this weird space kind of like its happening right now and you just cant make sense of it...
