The Intercession Dueller ruling makes perfect sense RAW. 1) Brutal says you can only parry with Critical hits. 2) You parried with a Critical hit, so that's fine, moving on. 3) Dueller says that when you parry with a Critical hit, you discard an additional Normal hit from your opponent's pool. 4) You parried with a Critical hit, so that triggers, resolve it. It might feel a little counter-intuitive because you can interpret Dueller as "when you parry with a Critical, you get a free parry with a Normal as well", and Brutal prevents Normal parries... but that's not what it actually does. The Pathfinder Guard ruling is totally accurate RAW, but feels like a bit like an omission on the writing side - probably should just be "you can Markerlight off a Guard action, AND you can Guard in Conceal but you can only Markerlight if you do"? Not a big deal. And once again, thank goodness for the Fellgor WarCom article.

Yeah so if I target a model with a blast weapon and they use the dark favour Tactical ploy or a similar ploy, I would then be "resolving a shooting attack" (includes all the steps of making a shooting attack, not just allocation of damage) against the guy next to that original target and then the blast (make another shooting attack) would end up hitting the guy the opponent was trying to protect. The only way around this is if you could use the ploy twice. I've seen people say that the "sidekick" model gets hit twice, but that should only be true if they were the original target and you used Dark Favour on the blast part of the shooting attack
I think group 1 is incredibly difficult. Wallace is a really strong player, I can tell you as much from experience😂 Shane is really good from what I've heard, and he's pretty cracked with Legionaries. Mateusz is one of the top players in the world, no doubt about it. Ryan is one of the strongest british players. I think Mateusz will qualify, but the other player from that group could be any of the other 3. Or maybe even someone else from that group, who knows?
Doesn't the ruling on pistoleer not getting its second attack contradict the core rules that state a shooter "make(s) all of their attacks for that action before any incapacitated operatives are removed"? Even if the expectation is that 'attacks' refers to 'individual attack dice' and not 'shooting attacks', the action still makes additional attack dice within the same action as part of the second pistol's attack. :/
My predictions. Group 1, Shane and Mat (poland) but Ryan s and true are super top contenders. Group 2, Adrian and Liam (and I believe Liam is taking Kommandos not breachers) that group doesn't have people to slow down kommandos so they will steam roll. Group 3, it's going to be you and Liam (I'm feeling the legionaries in that mix). Group 4 .... well let's just hope some of us can stop the big guy and dethrone Spain, but no prediction when I'm involved.
