Aloha from Hawai'i Island to you brother Priest and all yall worldwide 🤙🏽 I got a story to tell that relates to this video and to being a big Killah Priest fan since 95. I moved to this Island on August 13, 2001. A couple weeks after arriving I was given a pad of paper from my sisters friend who I had only met a couple times and he said "I don't know if you're an artist or not but if not you're to become one. I saw this art paper at the store and felt like I was suppose to get it for you." I wasn't an artist at all in any way. A few days later I was up late at my sisters little cabin in the middle of nowhere by myself with no one within a half mile. As I sat on the floor in the middle of the one room there smoking herb and listening to music I all the sudden I looked over at the pad of paper I had been given days earlier and grabbed it and some of my sisters colored pencils that were close by. I sat back down and looked at the first blank page and looked up and in a trance like state noticed everything in my sisters place that was circular. I got up and started to pick up all those objects and brought them back to floor and started to trace circles of different sizes and in a symmetrical way and ended up with a cool little drawing. I didn't have any way of telling time at her cabin but I feel like I finished it between 12-2 am, I turned over the drawing and wrote September 10th 2001 on the back. I went to work that morning and heard the radio talking about what was happening out there in the world and it was a trip. I was hearing the locals say "Ho BRA it's World War tree out there!" (that's how locals say three if their pidgin is thick) I was still in kind of a trance from my first drawing experience hours earlier and so I wasn't really tripping out and just went about my work just catching little glimpses of the radio or conversations about what had happened. As I was working I realized that it was the 11th and not the 10th and that I had dated my drawing wrong. Then I realized that I was finishing that first drawing within an hour or two from when things popped off with planes and explosives in NY and DC. I felt different that whole day and it wasn't because of what I was hearing about in the states but because I felt I had a spiritual experience with that drawing. I went home after work and started another drawing. A few days later another one of my sisters friends saw my first drawing and said "You drew a Mandala!" "What's a Mandala?" I said. "If you don't know about Sacred Geometry You're about to find out soon." He said back. Weeks later I was given 2 books : The Ancient Secret of The Flower of Life Volumes 1 and 2 by Drunvalo Melchizedek. All the sudden I was now an artist drawing Sacred Geometry using a compass and a ruler. My life was forever changed by moving to Hawai'i Island from California 3 weeks before 9/11 and finishing that first drawing right before it started to pop off in New York. The knowledge I gained from those books about sacred Geometry, science, history and more was transformational for me at the same time the Island was making me feel like I was being reborn. Liquid Swords from The GZA is the album that changed my musical life and got me into Hip Hop when it came out, that was my first hip hop tape. Months after listening to Liquid Swords over and over and nothing else, the new hip hop friends I made were playing Liquid Swords on CD one night. One of them said "You ever hear the CD version of Liquid Swords and I was like "Nah, what's the difference?" "BRUH! There's a bonus track called B.I.B.L.E from this cat named Killah Priest. He's a Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and part of Sunz of Man, you should check them out." When B.I.B.L.E came on I was blown away by what I was hearing. I was like a fiend waiting 3 years for the Heavy Mental album to drop. Ever since Heavy Mental came out it has remained one of my top 10 albums of all time of any genre, I will never stop bumping Heavy Mental as long as I live. I have studied and followed the career of Killah Priest. I rate Priest up there with the best of the best in the Rap game. It's been dope to see the progression of what Priest is rapping about. Because of those 2 books coming into my life I started to research so much of what Killah Priest started to rap about especially once Psychic World Of Walter Reid came out and then The Planet Of The Gods dropped and I rate Priest even higher than I already did. I wouldn't have had any idea what Priest started to rap about if I hadn't gotten those books when I did. Thank you to Killah Priest for being a huge part of my life since B.I.B.L.E came out. I'm proud of the progression and content of your career, your live podcast has been a dope addition to your career. Keep dropping gems on us, we'll keep catching them. Respect ✌🏽️
