Man that sounds great! I'm using a Pod Go, didn't have the funds for a Helix. I purchased your POd Go presets and the freezes are great here as well. I know that they are two different animals but, you sir, know these machines inside and out. Thanks Johnathan for all you do for ourHelix, Pod Go community.

Even though I'm a patron and can download all the premade presets, I still just go through the video and recreate it myself. I learn so much through that process.

Watching this video taught me to use my new (used) hx stomp. Took a while, but I learned how to create, move, assign blocks, etc, and managed to make a version of your brilliant freeze with crisscross, dual delay, and glitz working together on one expression pedal with a three button midi switcher. Very cool, and thanks for the super informative content

Really interesting creative way of using 'freeze' style sustain and I guess we can always swap out the expensive dsp fx with legacy ones to get different textures/sounds etc. always interesting Jon. Looking forward to whatever you got planned at 6.30 \m/

Slap it in the folder for sure. Also, while you’re at it, please consider explaining some of the switching options with the Helix/HX Stomp. I’ve heard of wet/dry/wet; is that what you’re doing in this patch?

Do you have to use an expression pedal or could you just use one of the foot switches?

You got great results, but that's a lot of settings to make. On a recent Line 6 Stream, I asked which Block would work for creating a "smooth freeze" effect. It was suggested that the Ratchet might work better than the Tesselator, as it is not as rhythmically focused. Haven't tried it yet. Wish Line 6 Helix had a Freeze Block to make doing such things easier.

The Ratchet is rhythmically focused, it just doesn't have the Start/End point element? Poly sustain is the most obvious smooth freeze effect?

@@johnnathancordy Poly Sustain has a very high DSP usage. I think I heard that Ratchet has low DSP usage, and that's part of the equation I'm using to determine which would be a good solution for a "Freeze" function. That, and ease of use.

hi guys, i have a noob question(probably). im now a new user for helix lt. i try to copy these preset but i got stuck when he use delay on the path B. when i try it, the volume of the delay is like i barely hear it. and then i try to ignore it because my thinking is if i just follow his step i would get the same result. untill then i just copy his step until the third delay. and the result is awful from here. cannot get the same result as his. i barely hear the delay. i turn up the delay level to max and it just sound awfull(the delay become too obvious). anyone here know whats the issue im having?

@johnathancordy I'm lost by the various patches and packages you offer. Do you have a webpage or a document that lists what is currently offered in each bundle? Is access to this "folder" lifetime access? Will I need an account to access the "folder" on whichever platform it's hosted on?

@@sjsphotog He needs someone to manage the business side of things to leave him to focus on the creative bit. I still have not purchased anything from him because I never could find answers to my questions. That's lost income over something incredibly easy and, honestly, I consider to be the minimum. If you're going to be selling products, it's fundamental to communicate clearly what they are, what they contain, etc., etc., etc.

Can this work with an external button style pedal? It has the ability to switch from momentary to latch as well.

@@johnnathancordy gonna have to give this a try today! I had a boss Me-25 back when I was in high school that had a freeze and I loved it. The only thing I regret about selling it to upgrade was losing that feature.

Are those all stereo blocks? I can't add the tesselator, it seems that I have no dsp left after placing the other blocks including the amp+cab

Does the Helix Native Have the Infinite Freeze

Helix native has EVERYTHING the floor units have and there is NO DSP limitation so as long as your PC has enough RAM/CPU power there is infinite possibilities and why most of the YT video guys use the Native app when showcasing patches instead of doing it on the unit itself.

@@johnnathancordy thanks for your answer. I've written in other videos. But I cannot decide. I really wanna know. What do you think of this modeler. Also I've looked at the headrush mx5 and the Ampero II. I'm a solo performer. And I okay with backing tracks. I'm used to play my Marshall DSL 100 and a bunch of good boutique pedals. But I'm tired of bring all that stuff with me. Recently I started to okay with Neural DSP plugins which sound awesome. Any advice? Thanks. And gratz for your channel.

@@madiimad Line 6 has the best customer support as well as the LARGEST community of users who are VERY helpful and there are a TON of Helix type patches out there for free from all those users which is worth it over all the other competition which is not as good.
