The car didn’t need a sequel, but since they decided to do it, they should’ve showed the original car first. Then maybe show how it either possessed another car body like transferring its soul, or maybe even show it do what the transformers do, scan another car and turn into it. Then it can go and terrorize people of the future.
Absolutely! In the very end of the original, "The Car" rolls to a stop, getting ready to enter into a new City & they cleverly zoom in on the chunk of tire that the Sheriff's bullet removed. That's where the sequel should've started off. That ending scene left all of us fans eagerly waiting for a sequel that never came.
Actually, there is a scene at some auto shop that shows a glimpse of the headlights and the bumper of the original car, then those parts are used on the new car.
Agree. I also think needed to be set in the desert, or somewhere at least somewhat expansive and remote. This is just another quick knockoff movie made in Los Angeles.
I wish you would do a sequel for this movie exactly what you just said cuz that would be awesome. I would definitely watch it. I don't care for this version.
What I found funny about all this is that they basically went with the "possessed car" rather than the original "Demonic Car". At the end of the original movie there was even a demonic face within the flames as the car exploded and burned. There was even the scene, during the credits, of The Car driving the streets of LA. Ok....it was really just a view of a car tire with LA in the background while the theme song played, but that heavily implied The Car had survived and was now prowling the streets of a city.
The car they used was a Chrysler 300c Srt8 with a blacked out replica Bentley grill fitted for the 300c. I found it ironic how the girl pushed a base model 300c not srt over the cliff and throughout the movie they used the 300c srt8. Keep up the good content love watching killer car movies and learning about new ones.
The best thing about this movie IMO was the new look of The Car. The front end grill and headlights evoke the terror of the Ori car while still providing an updated look with the giant chrome grill that actually makes it look like the car has long, spindly razor teeth that just ate someone.
I think the reason why the car killed an innocent is because the innocent was a loose end, which I don't know why a possessed car would need to tie up loose ends and kill witnesses, which is my same issue I have with Darnell's death in the movie adaptation of Christine, because no one is going to believe it when they describe a driverless car
Damn why is this the only killer car movie to feature a Chrysler 300... I mean it has the basics you need: mean look (even without mods, in case it‘s black), they are still around even after 15 years and they are not too expensive as movie cars.
Here's a killer car review you should do, ash vs the evil dead in season 2 ash's car gets possessed and man they went all out with how the car became possessed and how the car acted too
@@zakurowolfalphasilverwolf i saw the full movie at here www.bing.com/videos/search?q=the+car+road+to+revenge&&view=detail&mid=40790EA0AD3E495C7CBB40790EA0AD3E495C7CBB&&FORM=SVRTCV
I have not seen this movie on Netflix I’m watching now man if they put the American muscle car Srt Demon Challenger with red headlights that will be beast
Imagine Luke, losing his girlfriend, his police career and his faith because of his alcoholism. He gets angry, goes over the edge, and over months in seclusion, digs up the Car from under a mountain. I would totally pay money to see this.
Thx for reminding me. Over the Top was...a movie about being a super hardcore truck driver whose major talent is...arm wrestling......I still don't get it. lol
@@TMVarchive I get it, kind of. I mean being that fit AND a trucker is impossible. But that's the main plot hole for me. A real truck vs some shitbox... well thats a sobering moment being as my daily driver here in the northeast is an AMC. By the way, if one of you're "fall color" channel cruises lands you in Massachusetts for any reason please notify. Appreciate your uploads as always man.
@@TMVarchive that's a movie I have yet to see. I kind of wondered if stallone ended up buying it in the end. He has done that before with vehicles he has gotten attached to and this truck seemed like a pretty well maintained one so... good candidate for being a keeper but theres the answer to that I suppose
About these killer car movies where they dump the car in a lake: I realize this has been done, (sorta) in other movies, like, "The Truck", what with the headlights snapping on at the end. And, "Tarzaan The Wonder Car", where the guy was killed and dumped in a lake in his car. But i think the idea could be expanded. Basically, the Motorized Monster could be launched into a lake. The folks, (let's make 'em the bad guys) think that they've gotten shed of the beast. Just as they start to leave however, they hear music playing, and the gurgle of bubbling water. They look over just in time to see the water boiling, and then the car comes driving out, like a mix of, "Christine" and Buford T. Justice's squad cars from the, "Smokey and The Bandit" trilogy.
Sorry but not sorry. As a person who seen the 1977 version and believes in how well it was made this so called sequel is a joke of a movie. Almost ranks as bad as jaws 4.
So she rejected him when he was alive. Rejected him even after saving her life after death. And even cooperated with the bad guys to kill him again. So you could say that even evil guys were more worthy than him: The Car: road to Simp.
I mean the car looks good and evil, a good choice for a killer car movie but the movie itself is shit. Aside from the fact that it literally has barely any connections to the 77 movie, this is an insult to that movie through and through. Fuck I wouldn't even call it a sequel or remake whatever, it's awful. This gives the 77 movie a bad reputation. Tacking a (a not too bad but too good either) impression of the original car's front end onto the new Chyr wasn't a good look. If they really wanted to make an actual sequel then how about just simply making a basic movie about the car coming to the city and killing people as we saw at the ending of the 77 original? It's a simple idea sure, but if done well it would be enough.
Damn right. I wish they at least didn't have the headlights so close together, damn thing looked crosseyed. It would've been better to not advertise any connection and just have it be a funny homage at the end of their shitty movie.
@@TMVarchive I agree. When this movie first came around I honestly thought it was a joke, I mean the entire concept of somebody trying to make something new with 'The Car' only to then just make a shit stain of a movie like that is just bizarre to the point where it feels surreal.
Let's not forget how the last shot is of the car turning its headlights on underwater to show it's not really dead even though it had no headlights when it got dumped
Ooof..glad for the nod to the car..and the actor..been trying to write a short fan film myself of the car and good enough to bring back ..or at lease a similar one
probably only watch it ones cause it still a killer movie but nothing beat the car the old movie i have repilca of the car in gta online with my own twist to it has offroad tires for follow my prey anywhere lol and red headlights also awesome vid movie vault dude
1st making the the movie without the horn. BIG MISTAKE... HUGH ... what an opportunity missed ... Good video well presented with very valid points. Being the 1st "killer car " movie i ever watched its holds a special place in my heart as my father paid top money to get a copy on vhs to show me . All they needed to do was use the horn & engine of the original car on the lazarus & that would have made more sense than this shambles
Nice to see a review on this one!! I actually really liked this movie because it's a cheesy stupid B-movie, more or less what the original kinda was. One thing I loved about this movie was that it had gore. Really good gore effects, too! My favorite kill was probably the gang member that looked like the offspring of Ozzy and Slash. This movie wasn't afraid to be very silly. I also love the 2000s Chrysler 300. Very nice looking and intimidating car. Though i do wish they had included the famous horn. If they ever get around to making a sequel, hopefully they'll listen!
The Car was an amazing movie with one of greatest moviecars ever made. It didn't need a sequel and it definitely didn't deserve such a crappy one! And in the last few minutes the "original" Car didn't really look like the Lincoln in the original movie...
As much as I love them throwing the original in for the final act that's not even the original car it's just a front clip on a fucking 300I can tell by the doors and buy the back into the car in the quick spots you can see it Probably budget reasons they couldn't get an actual Lincoln continental
I actually watched this piece of crap on Netflix. Didn't get far enough to see The Car return, however. This whole thing just feels like a fanfic on Wattpad.
I don't get it. How the hell did that deputy guy get the front end of the OG car, and why didnt they just use the OG car and still have it haunted?? it makes no sense
YES!!! finally did this one, and yes it was a shitfest of a film.....I watched it and thought omg what have they done here, if ur gonna do a sequel do it right, I mean in the original they showed that the Car survived the cliff dive at the end, so why not sequel that right?
I haven't seen the movie. But that fact that they got some whole other car to be the bady instead of the classic car until the very end and not bother to add the horn pissed me off.
Wow! I didn't know this abomination wannabe sequel even existed. After watching this, I'm glad I didn't. Now I have to go watch my "The Car" DVD too clear my head.😎
Ronnie Cox's career was good in the 80's with Robocop and Beverly Hills Cop and even into the early 90's with Total Recall. Seeing him in this awful movie makes one think he just wanted to get paid. This movie is just as bad as Rob Zombie re-making Halloween.
Might have been fun trash if they didn't insist on insulting a much better film to make it. I mean, The Car's a fairly obscure flick-- they should have just made this for it's own sake.
