Amazing band with awesome records. Just saw them this past Saturday with helix . Always a great show full of high energy, loads of fun . Definitely some of the most down to earth musicians who love their fans and so easy to talk to 🤘🤘
Hi Shane! I’m a big fan of Killer Dwarfs too. I agree with all that you have said and only wish they’d be bigger. Solid band. I heard of them first back in 1994 when Columbia House club was still around in business. My school buddy picked Method to Madness album for me and I had never heard of them before. Back then when the grunge and alternative rock ruled the streets. My first impression of them was that they sucked! I resented Russ’ voice and thought that they sounded bad, but man, was I ever been wrong, what a turn around later! Somehow through out the years I rediscovered them on Dee Snyder’s House of Hair radio show we had syndicated here in Rochester NY. I caught their Dirty Weapons song at that time and totally fell in love with it. What a sound! I think the lead guitar’s tone is amazing and has that rich badass sound to it that you can’t help but love. And Russ’ voice is just in perfect tune to it. I love Comin’ Through, We Stand Alone, Just As Well and many other songs. In fact I made a few fan music videos later taking clips from Arnold’s movies and posted them on youtube (Comin’ Through is still up there) Anyway, I’ll keep listening to them and hope that someday they’ll re-release Stand Tall on Spotify. Thanks for reading’, love your channel!
I have been a fan for many eons! They played a small venue (Rockhouse Live) here in Memphis about 6 years ago and it was a total blast! Then a few weeks later I saw Metal Church play there. Then LA Guns Then George Lynch and so on ……
These guys should have been huge but for reasons unknown the metal world shunned them. I'm like you I love Killer Dwarfs and managed to see them once live. Very fun live band. When the band split singer Russ Graham started a new band named Penny Black (Not sure if that's a band name of if this album is a solo record. So if you want to hear what Killer Dwarves might have sounded like if you can find it go listen to it. I have it. But you can find it on Bandcamp for $9.99. Two other members of the band joined Helix, Mike Hall and Gerry Finn. But all are listed in the credits as having the last name of Dwarf. Classic song.
Probably because they didn't fit the mold of what "Metal is supposed to be" and had a wicked sense of humor, lyrics about something other than cars n girls n partyin YAAAHHLL. Are Metallers not supposed to do headstands ?
Good retro vibe. Solid hair metal. Not a band or genre I gravitate too but I'd let it play on the radio if it pops on. Maybe when i get older, this style might hit me more.
great band ,,they always had killer melodic sense,,,dirty weapons was theier biggest album in the US and a great solid record ,,, the followup 'Method to the Madness' was equally as good ,,,maybe even better ...sadly they hit thier peak right in the middle of the early 90's seattle invasion
last i heard the owned their albums but tehy still had red tape to deal with.they reissued stand tall some years back.now a while back as well tehy mentioned they found a crate of stand tall albums.heard no more about that.i usuallly may say something.tehy were doing more shows im like guys what a bout another album what about a stand talll reissue.one of my anthems albums stand tall and triumphs survelance.
Nedley from Headly sayin..KILLER DWARFS !!!!!! My fave song video is Heavy Mental Breakdown ! from their awesome debut. Russ Graham and the rest of them thar Dwarfs are a great mix between class-sick Alice Cooper band, some Def Leppard with a straight ahead Hard Rock edge. Your theory is quite possible. Labels can really screw you. Maybe it was their management or the label had no idea how to market them, which happens to even the best of 'em. A shame in any case 'cause they were great. Thanx Shane

I used to work years ago for a record distribution company and I received a bunch of promotional items . this song being one of them it is Great song🤘🏻Find it
