G'day, The "big white hill" is at "Phosphat hill" mine, What you saw is Gypsum along with other by-products from the mining procass. They make fertilizer for the domestic and international markets. Acid is made in Mt Isa and added to the fertilizer to help farmers control PH levels in the soil. The taller chimney is used but you cannot normally see anything come out.

I’ve been to Mount Isa quite a few years back my Nan and Pop used to live there and I’ve been to the Isa lookout and also my uncle Steven used to work in the copper mine up there and we actually got to visit it and drive around the big hole that is dug out really would love to go back there
Its so hard for me to get out and go for a ride, i have young kids and I work long hours. Just watched the vid and it gave me a fresh dose of motivation to make it happen
Got my first WR250R in 2008, then another one in 2014 its a great bike and all that you need , handles better than the heavy bikes in the single track .
I remember trying to find a wr250r in the USA around 2014 and couldn't find but 2-3 that wanted nearly new prices for them. Ended up on a vrf800 but it's still daydream about the adventure bike life

@@RidingWithTom You got it back. That says amazing things. One of my bikes is special like that because it doesn't die until it gets me home. It's gone up and down the US west coast, out to Sturgis and back, motocamping all over. A bike that's loyal like that or comes back to you like that - hang onto it 👍
Kangaroos are no joke,i lost a friend to a single grey kangaroo and he was in a car! Rolled his 4wd trying to dodge one and a tree root came through the drivers side window and impailed him. You should be slowing down when kangaroos are close to the road edges,if you hit one of these big red kangaroos on a bike your screwed.
Yep. I hit a mob of greys while I was riding 1200 Tenere, I came off better than the bike. Both clavicles broken but the bike was a write off. Unpredictable bastards those 'roos. Edit: Sorry about your mate.
