RTJ will ALWAYS have it. I have never understood how they are underrated af and not in enough conversations. Blows my mind. Killer Mike is obviously a legend. El-P just on his own is DISRESPECTFULLY slept on. Them together is incredible. You should check out their collabs with the lead singer from Rage Against the Machine: JU$T or Close Your Eyes (And Count to fuck) And definitely do more RTJ 🔥🔥🖤

Oh man, El has always been the one. RTJ I think over the progression of each record, it seems like he's started to curate his lyrics for a larger audience. He's always been a phenomenal writer, and is shows in his earlier work. I'm saddened that the masses don't focus on the true lyricists of our generation.

Agreed, I think he has much more of an influence on the genre than Aesop even though they are almost doing parallel things, worked together, with same artists, etc. and I think Aesop is the GOAT...

First time I saw Run The Jewels live, they had jut dropped RTJ1, Almost everybody I was talking to before show was there for El-P. Including me. They opened up for Wu Tang. Nobody really knew them as group. Boy they fucking KILLED it! And the quality of their sound honestly was just Levels above Wu-Tang's. Guessing El-p's sound engineering school had something to do with that.

I really enjoy y'alls energy. A lot of hip-hop reactors out there showing no emotion and staring at the screen like they're watching a work orientation video. Also, you didn't pause a dozen times for a 3½ minute song. Subbed. I hope you do more RTJ in the future, I would recommend something from RTJ2, but literally all four of their albums are bangers, as well as their solo projects.

El-P is the best producer in hip hop. He's so unique, his beats don't sound like anyone else, but are reminiscent of 90s boom bat. Plus, he's an incredible MC, his bars are as good as Killer Mike's, and that's saying a lot. I love hearing these two go back & forth, there's not enough of that in hip hop these days. Heavily inspired by Run-DMC, both in how they rap together and in style. Can't wait until they drop some new shit, RTJ4 feels like forever ago.
