I am very impressed with this footage and how you managed to remain as calm as you did. BEAUTIFUL CREATURES!!!! PROTECT ALL WILD LIFE !!!!

Loved the video. However, may I suggest that you remove the music and keep the natural sounds. For this type of interaction with orca, any music would be out of place, in my opinion. Also, I feel that your title would be more accurate if it read, "Killer whales swimming along jet ski & hunting for rays."

Title of video should read, "People on Jetski chase and stalk Killer whales"

Wild orcas should be only orcas. Boycott Sea World!!!!

Don't know why people would be annoyed by this. We are like a fly compared to them. Plus it looked like they were playing with the jet ski, it was pretty adorable actually.

FYI for Americans viewing this: In the United States it is illegal to approach a motorized watercraft closer than 100 yards to killer whales. As for the whale "smiling" at the jetskier: Predators are not smiling when they open their mouth wide as possible to display all their teeth. That is a warning, as in "Back off; you are pissing me off."

That is one of the coolest things I've seen. And, I don't have that much experience with the "wolves of the sea" but I cannot imagine that a guy on a Jetski could pose much of a threat to them, especially in that much open water. Besides, anyone who watched the movie Free Willy knows, they could just jump right over him and flee for their lives. Keep on living the dream, Jetski FishingShow, thanks for sharing.

Please remember, keep Kiwi orcas safe and don't approach them as was done in this video. There's a good reason for the laws that say keep your distance. If you're in a boat cut the engine and if they come to you, great. But don't get in their way. Don't intercept or corner them. They could have fucked this guy over if they hadn't been so tolerant.

The black and white colors of your jet ski probably confused them. They might have thought you were one of the pack. They have poor eyesight and it looks like they were trying to communicate to you. That's amazing!

Luckily they don´t attack humans or at least there haven´t been any reported cases! They seem to respect humans, I just wish we wouldn´t hunt and kill these beautiful creatures!

sooo cute when she opens her mouth under the water, they're so curious :) They NEVER harmed anyone in the wild, only in captivity(where they get crazy/depressed). This vid is fantastic, thx for sharing it, I love Orcas, they always "chase" kayakers, boats, jet skis, etc cause they're very intelligent and curious. For sure they know how to have fun in their habitat. People criticizing u here are hypocrits bc if they were there they woulve done the same, and Orcas do follow humans whenever they want to, it's not up to us to say "go away dear Orca, Im breaking the law if u chase me". It's their home, they command right? U were lucky to see them and have them approach u. Some very jealous and ignorant people here, so I just want to thank u 4 posting these beautiful images :)

When they go belly up and also open mouth is a sign of peace! They show their mood and friendliness (towards humans).

These are gorgeous animals, and it's nice to see them enjoying being in their natural habitat where they belong. I would love a chance to get this close to Wild Orcas - very jealous.

I love this video, my favorite part is around 2:35 with the camea underwater when the orca flips upside down and opens his mouth. To those of you posting about being afraid of them, there is no reason to be. There is not a single case of a wild orca attacking a human, they're very intelligent creatures and are really just curious about humans. I wouldn't even be afraid of jumping in the water with them. And I don't agree with the title, "chase" they're not chasing the Jetski, they're playing and curious. Either way awesome video!!! Is this on a GoPro Camera?

Don't worry about the negative comments bro. What most people do not understand is that Orcas are not whales. The name gives them a really bad rap that they do not deserve. They are dolphins, and just like other dolphins actually have an affinity for humans and they are curious by nature. Your company was not offensive or an irritation. If it was, you would not be around to place this amazing vid.

@ 5:08 as a second Orca breaks the surface to join the one already in shot, it looks as though its dorsal fin has been has been sliced off..is it really mutilated as it seems or is it just a floppy dorsal bent over to make it look as though it's minus a fin-tip?

The man started following the Orcas first. They're very curious, but I wouldn't get so close. Did you miss the clip on you tube of 6 of them zooming in a line at an ice burg so their wave would knock the seal off it (which it did, and they ate it later). Doubt it would take much for them to get a human off a little Jetski IF they wanted to. Be a little more respectful

Those animals look inoffensive but are the biggest predators on the sea, I wouldn't dare to go close to them...

They were only a metre or two off of the beach chasing stingrays, and you can see they actually had to give a good push to get themselves off of the sand! The family on the beach got a great view.

Killer Whales are incredible animals. I was one of those lucky kids pulled from the audience and allowed to touch a Killer Whale tongue when I was eight years old in Vancouver, BC. It changed my life, but I have a question. What do you fish for from a Jet Ski? I could see mounting some road holders on it, but there's no way you could attach two downriggers with 20 pound cannon balls. This is my first video from you. You must be somewhere very south. Around New Zealand? Get back tome. I'm a fishing nut, and a Killer Whale lover for life. Screw the trees. Hug a Killer Whale.

Nice!! It looks like it could be Beta Pod with the orcas Ragged Top (the one at the end that looks like it is missing the top of the dorsal fin) and Bent Tip. No expert, but just watched Killers I have known with Dr. Ingrid Visser and they would be used to humans. Looks awesome either way!!

very impressive camera footage. I'm just guessing here but was the cam used to film the Orca's a Gopro? I've read most of your comments and found a reference to 230 something in a number of the comments. what's that about? It's also clear that some people were offended by the video however I saw nothing that would indicate that you were harassing this pod in any way. While visiting friends in Oregon back in 2000 I had an opportunity myself to be up close and personal with a wild Orca.

I love these arguments in the comments... a lot of people getting their facts wrong and saying he was harassing them. fact 1. they approached him, 2. they followed him. Orca's are very large dolphin (for that info en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_whale) Jetski do not have propellers (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Ski) other then getting rid of the back ground music this video was awesome.

Wow!!!!! How incredible!!!! Such an amazing experience to have and get on film! Orcas are truly amazing mammals and are beautiful, I'm completely and udderly jealous! Its great to see them in their own natural habitat and not in some effed up sea world pool. And anyone who thinks this mans experience isn't cool or its messed up, get over yourself! They truly a gentle giants to humans unless you mess with their home or families (pods) just be thankful you get to watch them having fun in the ocean!

The footage is not all that amazing, you chased them, they didn't chase you. Orca's are amazing and very curious on top of it. They only checked you out because you were chasing them. You obviously are not a very bright person, next time you come across a pod, do not approach them, just cut the motor and see what happens.
