I escaped in 8 runs. I beat the final boss first try, I had a very op shield build with hares' boon which for every special hit you get doom damage. I had it on level 4, so I did like 200 doom damage plus I had the boon which gives plus 60% doom damage but doom happens 0.5 seconds later. It was very op, it killed anything in one or two shots.I did watch like 15 hours of gamplay before buying and playing with the game myself tho.

best way to beat hades's first phases is to be extremely aggressive. always dodge inward his attacks (even with range weapons. point blank is the best option). Ignore the summons unless it's one of the blue shielders crystals (they will render him invincible). for the second phase. the lazer attacks has a hole in the hitbox, but it's litteraly right next to him, so it's not that good of an idea. if you have enough defiances or life at the start of the last phase: TANK HIS BLOWS AND GO TO TOWN, he will punish you for taking too long

Hiding behind those circular barriers is an easier way to defend against the lasers in phase 2!

I'm getting to Hades consistently (even when I accidently make an awful build) and getting through the first phase most of the time, but that second phase is brutal!

I'm the worst at this game. About 120in and almost defeated him one time. Have yet to defeat him. The S/O says because I don't play video games like at all, im doing very well. So next time you go in, you can at least say "at least I'm not like that chick".

@@h1rambab3 Use the shield with aspect of zeus. You can actually just block all of his attacks. But yeah with the other weapons I can't get past him ngl

I fought him for the first time today and fought him 3 more times again but I keep losing two death defiance’s just before fighting him, damn you Theseus!!

I just got to him and beat by hades for the first time my 9th run. Had some op buffs using the shield of aegis. Hopefully I’ll get him next time. Took him to his second phase too but I think I needed a bit more health

I got lucky the first time when Hermes gave me like 5 whopping extra dashes, + extra move speed with flurry bow just traveling the whole map during the fight. Didn't beat him again for a while

at hades second phase right now, had to pause it n watch a video, the metal got too intense.. I wish I had a God Call like you had, but i have a duo boon that regens my health 1tick per second so phase one was kinda easy... here we go to phase 2

holy shit I DID IT!!! 2nd times a charm. This duo boon is amazing. With no Death Defience you gain health while in combat, its a demeter/athena boon. it is extremely op loved it

This game is a piece of s*** on console. I've had four crashes today and it crashed with 336 health and a perfect setup with three death revives right before the final boss. F*** this game I want my money back.

A very good game but massively overrated. Three areas and four boss fights? Really? Compare Dead Cells. Great art, great meta progression, good characters. Average combat, lack of content, and no innovation. It's a great Indie game, but not a revelation. This game is no more impressive than dead cells.

Got tons of depth the storyline changes everytime you beat the game and you have to beat it 10 times to get the true ending.

Well I tried dead cells and it didn't really grab me. I actually tried dead cells in two different occasions, simply because I knew it was so good. But I've been addicted to Hades since it came to game pass. Maybe once I'm finally done with Hades I'll go back into dead cells and I'll enjoy it more.

I honestly like how short the game is, especially considering the fact that it was made with Speedrunning in mind. Also "Lack of Innovation"? How so? What other games has mechanics like Boons or Keepsakes? I also don't understand how the combat is just average when there are so many ways to dispatch enemies such as dashing into them, deflecting their attacks, etc. It also helps that status ailments and the like also work on bosses and mini bosses so they aren't as useless as they are in other games. And would mind telling us how Dead Cells apparently does what Hades doesn't since you seem to be comparing the two so much?
