It wasn't easy remembering where I saw the "Johanka method" first... Glad it's still the first thing that shows up when looking it up on RU-vid. Anyway thank you and I love your content and guides as well! :DD
@@ProjectNathaniel there is a reason i said to put down the pitchforks. I knew it was a pretty bad joke when i wrote it. I however am still newish to the community
Once you learn how to parry and get a solid armor and strength, you can easily take on an unlimited amount of enemies on foot. You can actually clear out Prybyslavitz by yourself in the recon mission. They respawn on assault anyway.
Don't forget to steal all the food from everywhere else outside of Hal's house also. You normally can't sell stolen food, however, cooking it (on any fire next to a big soup pot) turns it into a technically different item, removing the "stolen" tag and making it fully sellable again. Get yourself a weapon and take down the cows for so much meat from a single cow that you won't eve be able to jog, let alone run lol. This playthrough I spent TWENTY HOURS in the Skalitz prologue and got so stupidly powerful lmao. I picked EVERY plant, stole/killed, cooked, and sold every vegetable/piece of animal meat I could (the cows, sheep, and most chicken respawn,) picked every lock (some multiple times) and stole back everything I sold as well as the vendor inventory I hadn't bought yet, knocked out guards and stripped them to their skivvies, stored every bit of the loot in the chest in Hal's living room to scoop up later on and re-sell or use, etc. 😎 (Big pro-tip: if you grab the immense amount of loot from Hal's living room immediately after digging under the Linden tree, during your return to Skalitz, you won't have to slow-walk across the map with over 1k pounds of loot (just a short ways across Skalitz) since the quest ends with a transporting cutscene and you wake up literally next to his magic universal storage chest. Thank you for that, Devs!) I didn't bother with max level or anything, but just in enjoying the prologue I ended up with around 1k groschen, like 12 weapons, a TON of food (mostly rotten by now, but still sellable lol, yet again,) and I reached main level 7, strength 8, agility 4, vitality 7(+2), speech 3 (bartering stopped giving XP after a while,) and I have 3 in drinking, 18 in herbalism, 5 in hunting, 9 in lockpicking, 6 in maintenence, and 10 in stealth lmao. That's what I call a prologue, baby.
@@DoctorEvil that’s what I did, makes for a faster start. In retrospect +Speech is ideal as it is so very slow to level. You can earn the +2 Strength by punching cattle for 5 minutes.
It would be kind of cool if they had a special chain of events for a case just like this. I am sure there are more enemies. However say he faints because of blood loss and pain, and the villagers would bring him there.
I would like to hope they add chain of events that happen whenever players went off script in KCD 2.. But I think the games doesn't want to reward players for performing impossible feats
Good example of this "performing impossible feats" is clearing out pribyslavitz... They could've atleast added a dialogue where Henry tells Radzig that he killed some men during the sabotaging that he did... But he'll acknowledge that they could easily bolster their number due to the camp never running out of coin.
Bro at this point, he passes out and the survivors all run out to aid and support him. Then they make a holiday in honor of his ass, it'd be a in game event to honor your hard work. As a npc I'd be in awe of this little dude just clearing the fields.
@@barondeadfish5890 I think a mention of "Henry, you look like you fought your way out of this mess. I don't know what in God's name had happened but how the hell does a village lad like you look like you served as a sellsword" "Just got really angry, Divish, the Cumans wasn't planning on letting me leave"
@@derekcheung3847 exactly mate, if not. It would've been better if a cutscene took over. It coule be where Henry would be forced to go to talmberg because more cumans arrive. Or maybe Henry passes out out of exhaustion and he wakes up at talmberg, another peasant brought him there or something.
Henry when you play it for the first time = Zikmund thought to us, it was such a horror! Henry if you play it after 10 = Zikmund attacked us, I killed 27 of his cumans and then he refused to send them and I wanted more 😢
If this were Baldur's Gate 3, the people would have left their houses at the end, quieted up, and started taking care of the wounded, fully implemented in the rare possibility of killing every Cumin.
@@Nahrixit’s based off real events and trying it’s best to stick to how it was obviously it’s still a game and some things are bound to be a lil unrealistic but stop comparing the game came out years ago and was easily still a really well in depth and thought out game especially with consequences and decisions🤦🏽♂️
Honestly in KCD2 I'm low-key hoping they nerf the horseback combat mechanic. Too OP. It may be realistic that cavalry wops a punch. But it's unrealistic that hordes of armies can't deal with a single cavalry unit, in the case of this video, a single peasant on horseback...
There are ways to prevent yourself from being unhorsed. One way is double tapping shift when an npc starts trying to unhorse you. You can also hit the npc that's trying to unhorse you. Sometimes I even jump to prevent being unhorsed... There's actually a part in this recording that I got unhorsed. i just cut it because I really didn't think it was interesting and should be seen in the video
@@Luis-oy3et oh I didn't mean it like that. I was just addressing the good sir. No offense meant by it. Let me edit it out to avoid any miscommunication
Jesus Christ be praised! Another Skaltiz saved from the Cumans! Btw, how many tries did it take you to do this fully? From my own experience, those horses do not have high courage stats and usually toss Henry to a pit of Cumans and basically his death. Nice job, love the voice and the simple setup. Glad to see more KCD videos out in the world!
Jesus Christ be praised! Let me just say this. I was literally just watching your killer Henry video😅 Good stuff good sir! I'm kinda physiqued that you watched my vid. Anyway, I failed once. So basically I had 2 runs for this video. (I failed cuz I ran out of Marigold). But when it comes to getting tossed by my horse. Happened to me once. Which insta killed me (cuz of the number of cumans). But I just tried again and continued. I hope that answers the question.
@@barondeadfish5890 Haha, yup running out of marigold is the real problem. Even if you don't get hit you take damage from the bleed, its a race against time! The only other healing item that could work are carrots and apples which give like +1 health or so, but honestly that bleed and the horse knocking you off is painful. You made it look waaaay too easy! :D Anyways, keep up the videos, can't wait to see what you come out with next! :D
I was playing around with the bleed sequence recently, actually. I was testing the viability of using it to power level drinking. The bleed seems to chew through nourishment so I was able to knock quite a few back (and spirits slowed my health loss). Only annoyance was the pursuing cuman seemed to teleport to me if I got far enough from the path (when Henry would complain about the wrong way). So it became a dance of drunken sprints up and down the main road to keep them away while I chugged an unnatural amount of alcohol.
@@TrialBySquire Yah you're right about the nourishment thing too. I don't know if bleeding is suppose to do that normally in the game, I never tested it. But in that cutscene I think the game wants you to be hungry for Talmberg so they teach you to buy and eat food again. But that is an interesting thing to test out. As for healing goes, you're right, you can stuff Henry like a turkey, right until he starts to get too drunk to even fight :P
I minmaxed the entire start and even more. I took everything worth the slightest and nothing that anyone had, i killed every Cuman and maxed every stat. I even went around the invisable wall and played the game while being on the same day
@@barondeadfish5890 well no, there is just a place where the wall is shorter and can be jumped over or something, been more than a year since i did it but it's along the way to the Arrow in the leg cutsene but before it, to the rigt there is a building on the other side of the river, you can jump over the walls with the horse
you can check update history on steam. last update was on 02.2023. and how is this supposed to be a "bug". i feel like throughout the whole game, the devs just expect you to act the way Henry would and this "bug" is one of manyyy examples. i once HAPPENED to be wanted in talmberg but i sneaked in and met the lord anyway and he didn't acknowledge at all that i'm wanted... he started talking with me and after the cutscene he run away (as every civilian when you're wanted). i was hoping he AT LEAST calls the guards, instead in the cutscene he continues to praise me for all my actions and it was making NO SENSE considering i was wanted for a murder of several guards. not to say this game is bad, i have over 100h for a reason. but when you do something extremely out of the line, don't expect any acknowledgment from the game :( *spoiler alert > also, there is a quest where you should follow a bishop and convince him that everyone is christian in the area or whatever and i got bored and decided to kill him and his guards, and while the bailif was mad at me at first, seconds later he gave me another quest. if i were him, i wouldn't trust me with anything after that LOL literally killing a bishop and making him probly the first suspect (as it was in his interest that he is now dead). so dissapointing that this was not properly acknowledged.
This is a High Quantity video, their is a future in content of this caliber, you have quantity issue not quality. I genuinely feel an odd pride in knowing I'm subbing now when you only have 791 subscribers
I tried looking for it in this playthrough. It should be in one of the cumans harrassing theresa. But damn, it gotten eaten by the ground or something. Couldn't find it in any of the corpses
I remember doing that with the Cumans mostly because I wanted to save the 3 by the church. I used the Halberd but I didnt do it on horseback. I abandoned the horse because I didnt want it to get killed. Walking to Talmberg sucked.
My first playthrough of this game when it came out I stayed in Skalitz for ab a month of my real life just farming stats, sneaking, murking the townspeople. Idk why cheating the game wasn't everyone's first instinct
I swear mounted combat in this game is the cheesiest shit. Theres literally no reason to get off your horse if you dont want to engage with the main combat system. I hope they balance it out more in the sequel.
@@potatokilr7789 would it make you feel any better if I said that foot combat is also too easy? You basically just kite and use masterstrike. Check this video out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BmwSdn1pMW8.htmlsi=GWNoSiHig1hro2I_
@@barondeadfish5890 I've been playing for about 5 years. I usually install a mod that removes master strikes, but I've recently tried playing without it. My main concern is getting surrounded while on foot when you have no allies to support you. These situations almost make using the horse necessary in my opinion.
RPG's like FNV or Fallout 2 account on people cheesing / cheating the game. Instead of trying to beat the cheaters by making cheats less accessible or simply ignoring them, they actually take the time to make a story branch where the protagonist is a literal God, like being accepted as a citizen into Vault City. But the approach I liked the best so far is from a game that's not an RPG at all: Ghost of Tsushima. In ghost of Tsushima, you don't beat around the bush: You ARE a living God right from the get go, no cheats or cheeses needed. But instead of being deified, the jealous Shogun afraid for his position and legitimacy , hunts you down, for doing his job. A living god, a messiah, a singular person that manages to save whole nations is something that terrifies all authorities. I would like to see that approach in a true RPG that rewards average Joes for doing their best and punishes living Gods for destabilizing whole nations through their awesomeness.
i only played dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin and based on this one, i think KCD is not even comparable in terms of difficulty. it takes let's say even 10h (imo less) for players in KCD and you have the WHOLE combat system figured out, there are (almost) no other enemy patterns and there is barely any difference when switching weapons. in dark souls, every new boss, new area, new weapon demands you to know new patterns, so basically you need to learn something new all the time. the same tactic won't work on a different enemy, so even tho the combat system is less complex, you need to learn a lot more. tbh, imo both of those games are not hard compared to what we can find if we REALLY want a hard game to play.
Did you think of this idea yourself or did you you get this inspiration from someone else? Because one Czech youtube has done this exact thing a few years back
If you look at previous videos I made. I already killed the cumans before with sir Radzig's sword, but only in front of Theresa's house. Then I cleared out pribyslavitz with a halberg and a horse. I wanted to that at Skalitz too. I had no idea that this has been done before. Kindly link that RU-vid video that you are referring to and I'll gladly link it down at my description. Have a great day.

Интересно, а я зплазил на крышу или на камни и также их из лука всех выцеливал, потом садился на лошать выманивал еще группу за собой и снова из лука всех отстреливал, вначале стрела летела недалеко но потом прокачался... I wonder, did I climb onto the roof or onto the rocks and also shoot them all with a bow, then I would sit on a horse, lure another group behind me and shoot them all with a bow again, at first the arrow didn’t fly far, but then I leveled up...
Man my first play through i weighed too much to run and spent 4 hours trying to figure out a way to get to the horse safely, just to find out i weighed to much to mount rhe horse
