I'd beg to differ good sir. The songs were good but it's not kf music, kf music should be more gritty, more heavy. DH and all the others bands music is good of course but I dont think they fit KF

If it's not in the game, specifically the songs "Infected" and "Collapsing" I'm not gonna play the game tbh.... And save the "oK sEe yA" comments I'm not talking to you.
I'm sorry but this song feels so barebones. Sure it's using just the guitar and drums, similarly to what kf1 tracks did, but those had actual recognizable patterns and sounded like they knew what they wanted. This song on the other hand can't decide on what it wants to do, changing tempo and melodies constantly all the way to the end. I'd say mixing contributes to it as well. Better mixing doesn't always make the song better. This barebones style worked with kf1's unapologetic mixing which filled all the gaps left by the instruments, but it feels like it's scrubbing off all the character by having a cleaner sound with this new one. Hope I'm making sense
I kept scrolling through these comments too and getting mad confused over how nobody pointed this out. The drums are just the same unmodified samples played over and over, the guitars sound lifeless and synthetic (hah) in the worst kind of way... Synth are literally just the base patches that come with your DAW. Downright embarrassing, my hype for this game just went from "eh? maybe" to "lmfao not even if it's free"
It's less about the patterns, more about the sound in general. This is just Rocky Gray's style, which sounds great, but it's very clean and polished, which I also don't really like for KF. Quality wise it's amazing, but it makes it sound fabricated (although that's technically better for a game with loud guns like KF) But, too much overdrive and unintended squeals here and there are what I liked about KF1's music. It was dirty. Even the drum and bass, which had a ton of bit crushing and over the top EQ. When you put this and some of the later tracks from KF2 side by side to stuff like Dirge and KF1 zYnthetic you know exactly what I mean.
How fitting, an uninteresting song that goes nowhere for a game that lost its identity. I guess the industrial music zynthetic produced for 1 and 2 doesn't fit with the robots and sci-fi garbage they turned the game into.
I liked it the first time I heard it but now I'm starting to like it even more each time I hear it :D Hope there will be some electronic tracks in the game too, like Zynthetic, I really like the mix.
Those were from actual bands that they licenced music from. They also had original music too like this. We probably won't find out if they are including licensed music until the game is much closer to release though. Personally speaking, I'd love to see some of Impending Doom's newer stuff like I Must End, I The End, and Hellbent. And and probably a pipe dream with this, but including Red's stuff (Search "thebandred" if you don't know who they are) like their song The Evening Hate, Float, Surrogates, and maybe The Suffering. I'd love to see those songs personally. But probably a pipe dream with Red. Haha. Either way, wouldn't expect those songs until much closer to release. ;)
Please god dont become like Activision, ubisoft, 343 and the rest of the triple A titles. We need a prosperous game for a change since its been years and years since we got an actually good game from anyone who actually cares about their game and not making it a cash grab. Regardless i wish you luck in your development process
Meh. Bland track with questionable mastering. Never cared about Rocky Gray's output. Guess I should be thankful it's still metal and not something trendy considering the game's "hero shooter" direction. Should've hired Mick Gordon considering he's not doing much rn. I hope there will be some licensed deathcore/metalcore à la KF2.

@tuberqueue8973 each perk is tied to a specific character now. No more Mr. Foster as a support specialist. Speaking of weapons, only perk weapons can be bought now. No more mix-n-match fun! Oh, and every specialist now has a an "Ultimate" that charges up, not unlike Overwatch.
@@tuberqueue8973 Mercs are having ultimate abilities and the Perks system is being removed. So you'll see more characters based on their their ultimate is useful rather than character preference.
@@wh3nderson95 if i can give my opinion, i dont really dislike that changes, i played KF1 and 2 for years and i can say that is amazing but in my case, another game exactly like it ancestors will end up boring me, i have to admit that i'll miss my Mrs: Foster Firebug but we can try to accept something different at least a while, it cam changes later

I just want to preface this by saying that the Killing Floor games have been on my list of top 3 games since 2011, and that this comes from a place of love and concern, rather than hate. This track sounds quite lackluster, like it's missing a few things or unfinished. Nowhere near as metal and original as their previous games. Music, however, has a chance to improve, so I'm holding out that you guys will hit home with the other tracks. But something that I've been wanting to talk about that concerns me the most was actually during their video about the development of this game. I forget the title of the video, but TripWire said they're "... trying to bring this to the modern market" (I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist). Usually when a development team says this, they've lost touch, or have been controlled by corporate greed where they try to pander to everyone else, instead of sticking to the community they've worked so hard to garner over the years. They've shown this already by allegedly thinking people want character specific perks (like overwatch), so now we can't choose our own characters like in KF1&2. My question is though.. who actually thinks that's a better system??? My guess is no one but the suits, because they see another, albeit more successful game like Overwatch, and think that's what they should do. Also, while I'm ranting, all of the shown gun play animations/bullet projectiles, look and feel undercooked, along with the zeds looking even worse with janky movement and low fidelity gibs. I know I'm judging the book on its cover right now, and that this game still has a long way to go in terms of development. But I've noticed flags in other countless games before, where issues were not fixed that were shown in hype content like this. We'll see when this game comes out, but I don't have a large amount of confidence in this right now. At this moment, this game feels like the transition from a passion project to corporate slop, like Halo (may it rest in peace), and nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong. Anyway, I know this comment was largely about things other than the track, but it's just what finally prompted me to voice my overall concerns. Thanks for listening.
I have these exact same concerns. I know things could still change, but given how there's already a release date/window that's sooner rather than later, I'm having less and less hope for any significant change, even though they responded on social media that they "heard our complaints". The fact that they're not announcing postponement indicates to me that they're going through with it. The gun and zed animations aren't going to be improved much either, again, given the announced release and at this stage of development.
the animations i'm not really crazy worried about since the release date isn't next fucking year for no reason, and honestly i'm kinda indifferent to the character specific perk thing since while the old system was almost perfection, it is a sequel and i would honestly like to have something a little new.
Yeah, spot on about a lot of things so far. It just all feels so fucking soulless and whatever. This track is the epitome of "ah shit just throw some down tuned guitars, drums and whiny synths in there. that's what'll sell copies right?"
Get rid of the hero class system. Let me switch my perks and characters at will like I could in KF2. I don't want to play a specific character to use specific weapons and styles. Completely restrictive game design. I will be skipping this title if that's how it plays.
Tripwire, please, take your time to polish the game in every way possible. We don't want yet another raw cashgrab product. You'll get all the support you need, just don't f*ck this up, please

And also the snare drum is very short and it has sharp wave attack, its sharp sound delivers a sharp blow to your ears, it is disgusting and unpleasant
We get it, you pay too much for headphones and pretend there is a massive difference between an $80 pair of headphones and $500 pair of headphones. Congrats on the disposable income and free time to care so much about minor differences in sound. 👍
soundtrack is turning out to be a banger, game better remain in it`s class based horde shooter roots and not try copying anything that`s hero shooter related like overwatch (abilities will be acceptable if they are tied to class and not heroes themselves like we saw in one of the footages where mr foster icon popped up upon bar filling up, besides move that to one of the side of HUD instead of down and the center)
There is a huge difference between heavy soundtrack and GOOD heavy soundtrack. And this is not good one. It's primitive, it's basic, with a very little parts of it making you feel good. It's probably OK from gameplay perspective, if you need something to bump on the background, but by itself it's nothing. Compare this with some of the best heavy soundtracks everyone loves and adds to their collections - there is much more DETAILS. Not just guitar and drums, but something in addition - synths, orchestra, more bass, extra solo riffs, in some way, makes it more melodic and deep. Something you can hear in this track, then 1:50 starts and then 2:03 with extra synths it makes it much better, especially as a part one - part two of the same sequence. There is a potential. But this one is mid. And it's 100% worse than any of the best from old ones KF. I hope they will add some of them in the game.
No song will slap as hard as The Matriarch's theme tho... Also, new version of Disunion Reconstructed or ACTUAL releases of the Matriarch's theme or Disunion Reconstructed for Spotify?

Im genuinely wondering how this game is gonna spin, when you restrict the weapon line depending on what character you are. Or class instead of character?- either way theyre restricting the shop, for better or for worse
The old KF1 team is gone. KF3 is gonna be crap. It'll have the same engine with horrible hit detection. KF2 scifi weapons that don't require skill are going to be back. Gameplay won't have any depth. Tripwire is already censoring the steam forums. The only good thing they ever made was KF1. They are dead to me
