After the assassination of Reinhard Heidreich the Germans went on a rampage against the Czechs killing hundreds of people in revenge killings. It was this event in which the allies stopped assassination attempts on top ranking Nazis because the civilians would pay a heavy price in retaliation.

What I liked about "Valkyrie" is the movie pointed out that killing Hitler was one thing but it was also necessary to have a plan in place to put in a new government right away. I am German. Georg Elser was a true Hero to the German people. Because he proofed that a single ordinary individual without any assistance can resist tyranny and change the course of history by his own wits and courage. In opposition to Stauffenberg Elser did not participate in the war of aggresion and Elser was tortured by his captors who let him alive because they did not really believe that he acted alone. In Opposition to Stauffenberg Georg Elser legacy was not credited aftee WW2 even by his own hometown and family because for decades until the war generation paused mostly away because Georg Elsers courage shamed nearly all other Germans because he was so close of killing Hitler and prooved that everybody had a chance to resist which most of my grandparents generation never dare to think about

Imagine an undercover operative tasked in becoming his true best friend from childhood to the interbellum years, which may lead to an alternate iteration where he became a happy and philanthropic painter (think the "Golden Ending" for Titanic: Adventure Out of Time) and maybe even becoming an occasional side character (and hopefully even ensemble darkhorse character) when friends of said operative visit this better world in certain other story arcs; he could be one who joyously serves out really good homemade coffee and sausages, the guy.

Gotta love Captain America: The First Avenger for mentioning that before the climaxes. Man, that film and The Winter Soldier are true gems even amongst the now flawed MCU.

Personally I think AH wasn't all that insane, just VERY evil and outright dumb/incompetent. Let's not dismiss evil as being the result of insanity instead of resulting from other things, such as an evil ideology. It should also be mentioned that AH's generals weren't exactly the best military leaders themselves and that dismissing AH as insane kind of makes it sound like he isn't responsible for the evil actions he did/ordered.

I am disappointed in you, this video was a perfect opportunity to show Professor Farnsworth shooting Hitler with his ray gun as they traveled through time but you totally missed the chance!🤣🤣🤣

Surprised no footage of Inglourious Basterds (2009), since it was a giant Hollywood wank-fest about this exact subject. And those punch-guns were kino.
