Kiln opening! Pieces using mayco, amaco and spectrum glaze! Tested Mayco’s new engobes! 

The engobes are an absolute game changer!! I’m having so much fun with them. I have wrist issues as well but I don’t do enough to be able to invest in a pug mill. I so wish I could. Please show us your fails too so we don’t have to make them too! Lol

I hear ya! Those swirl bowls are finiky! Love the TT, Seaweed and Honey Flux! I LOVE the engobes! So happy to have them on the supply shelf!

I love the dinner plates! I’m storing up ideas to make us a new set! Looking forward to seeing how you use the engobes. I also have the small test sizes and have only used a couple. So far, I really like them and they didn’t stick to the shelves. Thanks for sharing.

I meant to thank you for the idea of using a dollar store toilet bowl brush as a mixer for glazes. they work great.

Home made engobe recipe: 50 clay powder (idk what name it is in the US, in Europe they sell it, also red clay powder) 20 silica 20 potash feldspar 10 kaolin + 2 frit p2961 (but another frit with boron would work too) stain (until 20%%) 3 bentonite 2 cmc
