Kim's rebound relationship was too public. That's what I think is the issue. She publically introduced Pete Davison as her new beau, giving him the impression he could become involved in the divorce with her ex. If you want a rebound relationship, fine. Keep it private, and in her case don't acknowledge that it's a relationship.
Love this segment. Although I love all the usual discussions, something fun & lighthearted is good to balance the show out more. And the laughs are appreciated given all the serious issues nationally and globally. It's good to take a moment to have those moments of joy and just goofing around fun, plus we get to see so much into their personalities as it is fluffy in nature. Here for this!

Even though Steve wasn’t the first guy after the failed marriage, because it was still soon after, I agree with Joy that it was a rebound that became a love of her life.

My only issue with rebounds is that its not fair to the other person who may have genuine feelings for you. I think if youre going to do a rebound, youre going into it not looking for a commitment or a longterm commitment, but as long as communication is flowing, i dont mind it.
That’s making some heavy assumptions, assuming that people know what they want or where they are emotionally. Many people are just going through the motions and not doing that self reflection and analysis, which is what leads to the communication you’re saying is necessary

I remember Jane Fonda, talking about how she changed herself with each husband. The husband did not adapt to living with her, she adapted to living with that man and looking back it made her very angry with herself that she was not her true self with any of her husbands.
