That's why it's important to educate yourself on the law. If this lady was a normal person. She would still have gotten the same sentence because of the charges. Example, a drink drive hit someone and kills them and has never been in trouble at all will receive the same 2 year sentence. Not saying it's ok but I am that knowing the laws and how they are played out in court is important. If she was a felon previously than she would have gotten much more time. The sentence is just A PART of her punishment. She has lost her career and is publicly shamed and derided. And if your mouth just watered waiting to spew, "AT LEAST SHE'S ALIVE!!!!" think about Wright's own responsibility in this sad episode. Had there been no bodycams, he would be alive because Americans hear bodycam and think, " If there is ANY roughness by the Police, it's wrong on them." And this causes Police to hesitate and hold back. No bodycams, they drag this piece of crap, who has fled Society's Authority TWICE, from the car by his hair. He assaulted another woman and pointed a gun at her in an attempted robbery in December 2019. And in 2017, Wright was arrested and charged with felony 1st degree burglary of an occupied dwelling. He ran away from the police before when he was caught with a gun under the front seat of his car. At the time of this last encounter he had an active arrest warrant.

I've never seen a judge defend a defendant more then this judge did. My god if not for the slanted eyes I would've thought this judge was related to Mrs Potter.

It's a crime of incompetence that won't come up with her being a civilian so I get what the judge is saying there. It was an accident but we can be convicted of crimes we had no intent to commit. She would have been legally in a better spot if she had intentionally shot him than when she admitted she meant to taser him, messed up as that is.

But It’s African Americans doing 20+ years for a non violent offense 🤦🏽‍♂️ someone lost their life and she gets 24 months.

did she show intent or malice forethought? If not, she should have been fired for incompetence and insurance paid to family of victim. Prison time? no. community service? yes.

Even someone as young as Wright knew the difference between a taser and a gun. Wright shot another person in the head with a gun, not a taser. He was not confused or made a mistake like Potter.
