Hearing her from the binging of her sensationel career Sorry Madonna but you're just the princess of pop because Kim is the real queen I will always love you Kim ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This song, along with “Seven Tears” by Goombay Dance Band and “Promised You A Miracle” by Simple Minds were three tracks out of many others that played on an overnight bus trip from Whyalla to Adelaide to live in Adelaide for good on Friday July 9, 1982. So These tracks have special value for me. And as July 9, 1982 was a Friday, on my visit to Whyalla in May 2020, I had a very good reason to play “Friday” by Rebecca Black. On a tech standpoint, the music was pumped into the bus through a radio station as it was 1982 and stuff like iPhones, etc did not exist yet.
the 1980s provided great singers, and especially songs that will remain timeless for all past and future generations. it's an absolutely magical decade and everyone is unanimous in sharing this observation. and above all, we frankly feel the joy of living, a more relaxed world, a happier and above all holy world of this generation of the 80s. the competition was absolutely HUGE!
I guess it all began about a year ago Like a cheap love magazine You know, the kind you read about And have to laugh At the pages in between Now I can't believe that fool inside is me 'Cos I just can't face the world I've grown to see View from a bridge, can't take anymore View from a bridge, can't take anymore I saw you kissing her I saw you making her In the soft sheets in between But when you turned around I saw your eyes were fire And you crashed out all my dreams And like a fool I just stood there And let it go I should have fought right back And let my feelings show View from a bridge, can't take anymore View from a bridge, can't take anymore You sure as hell knew how To make a fool out of me Well, you cut me down For the things you want And now it's killing me (( I'll lay it on the line now You're running out of time now )) But then a voice said jump And I just let go And I'm floating out in space But then I feel your arms And I turn around To a ghost without a face And I just don't know What's fact or fantasy 'Cos when I look below the bridge I see it's me
This track = so underrated , she was so brave singing about love , and what it can do to you, I've been there, = learn to love yourself......the rest will follow naturally. We are all important, equal ! Power to the people ! . as wolfie " citizen smith " Robert lyndsey ? chanted in the eighties. + kim you look amazing, love mickee and taffy xx.
This song deserved far more than the #16 in the charts it reached. (In my humble opinion, that is, of course.) Listen on ear buds or noise-cancelling headphones, and the sheer flawlessness of the vocals, the power of the instrumental, and the whole production and vibe.....well, they smack you head on. The track may well be 42 years old now.....but it's way more than 42 times better than the stuff churned out by Tyla, Katy Perry, and Tate McRae.....for example.
The songs written by her father and brother are a part of her. Her voice, the young and wild face. This music was really well received. I still like it today. But real success came when Stock-Aitken-Waterman took Kim under her leadership (“View from the Bridge", "You Came”). From this moment she was part of the typical mass-products in the 80s/90s.
