Kimberbell Mini Quilt July Part 1 June 2, 2024
Join Jan in creating the Kimberbell Mini Quilts. Each month I will guide you through the embroidery and assembly of these adorable 12" x 12" quilts. Stitch each block on your embroidery machine, add optional background quilting (sold separately) , and sew the blocks together on your sewing machine! In this video (part 1) we will discuss the fabrics, embellishments, and threads needed to create your mini quilt. Then we will quilt and embroidery the Watermelon block, and the Rocket block. Those are adorable! I love this month's mini quilt! I went to the links and bought the designs and the embellishment kit. I'm so excited. I still have 4 of the first half of the year to do. lol

I hope I can do this in the 5 X 7 hoop I been waiting for the video's to come out I been having my Mini Quilts July to Dec

Hi Donna! Yes, you can do most of the mini quilts in a 5x7 hoop, but I would recommend making them using option 2: traditional hooping. You can then quilt them afterwards. A lot of the block by block quilting or option 1 will be too large for the 5x7 hoop due to the quilting designs

@@sewalongwithjan thank you I do have Kimberbell blue tiles I was thinking of quilting with the blue tiles then doing the appliques would that work thank you still working on the first mini quilts thank you so much love the little hacks and tricks you show I am saving money for a larger hoop machine I started with a 4 X 4 than went to a 5 X 7 I saving for a machine like yours

@@donnacamp5663 That's great, Donna! The Clear Blue Tiles ought to work or just do the tradition mini quilt and quilt with your sewing machine after. Whatever works for you. I love my Luminaire and I'm sure you will love it too!
