Kimberbell Mini Quilts January Part 1 January 2, 2024
Join Jan in creating the Kimberbell Mini Quilts, Volume 1: January-June. Each month I will guide you through the embroidery and assembly of these adorable 12" x 12" quilts. Stitch each block on your embroidery machine, add optional background quilting (sold separately) , and sew the blocks together on your sewing machine! In this video (part 1) we will discuss the fabrics, embellishments, and threads needed to create your mini quilt. Then we will quilt and embroidery the Chillin' block, the Snowmie 1 block, and the Snowmie 2 block. Get ready for a year of fun with Jan and Kimberbell Mini Quilts!

Love the way your cat looks at you when you iron like she is learning too lol so cute thank you I am a beginner and always wanted to do applique on the embroidery machine I always done the poem for the memory pillows never anything else thank you for the video you make it look so easy

Hi, thank you for the video. It's awesome. I have a question about the Martelli Round About. Are you using the mini 10" or the 17"?

I purchased background quilting from Etsy, but they don't come with tack down lines! That I know of, What can I do now? Ive used them before but forgot what to do! LOL

Hi Jan, I bought my first and only Brother embroidery sewing machine as a Christmas gift to myself and I have never used one before so, I am enjoying your videos and learning so much. I have a question about the hoops. The 4x4 hoop came with my machine and I bought a set of 3 sizes if hoops but my machine will only do 4x4 hoops. How would I be able to use a larger hoop maybe size 5 x 7? and a smaller one for very tiny fonts and images? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi Carolyn! Which machine do you have? It may only have a maximum of a 4x4 embroidery field.

Ok. That machine has a maximum of a 4x4 hoop. There is a hoop that you can split a design for, but you really need software to use it to its full potential.
