"Kimbo Slice" had absolutely no technique. lmfao. he was a joke in MMA. No one took him seriously. He should have stuck to being a playground bully. The fact that he's remembered as an MMA fighter and not a has-been loser is purely accredited to his untimely death. Fuck that guy. lmao
Kimbo just really strong he's not a mixed martial artist he's a fighter not a mixed martial artist not to mention most people who fought Kimbo thought they were tough and were not actual Fighters and generally have a fear of getting punched in the face
He should've have stick up to a pro boxing career, but MMA was risky, he had no background in it. He beat a lot of big random guys with no technique, but these other guys were trained and could've finish him in a lot of ways. I respect him though, RIP.
@@daurknyte bully ??? Wtf you talking about kimbo was not a bully he was fighting underground fights he wasnt a dirty fighter and always was a good winner or loser very respectful dude who is the definition of the american dream from rags to riches but not no bully
His legs are very thin. I think Kimbo had polio as a kid. Kimbo had zero ground skills and zero leg kicks. This is a boxing vs MMA match. And the MMA guy always wins
Kimbo was a brawler, a street fighter who could beat tough guys with no technique and made a reputation people feared. But against professional fighters who finely tuned their abilities and trained daily, he was outmatched.
Not gonna lie, with all the intimidation Kimbo sought to instill in his opponents, it’s very satisfying to see a smiling man just pound him to the ground at a slow and brutal pace.
He was used to bullying people he knew were afraid of him...This guy just laughed at him ... I give Kimbro credit he fought with heart and took his whipping like a man...
in Muay Thai you get grab behind the neck...got to move think that started it. an a much better kick boxer an stand up too. much respect to both. at 1:31 setting up the knee

Lol he was never gonna beat the Junior dos Santos, Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, or Stipe Miocic of this world. Even guys like Lesnar, Mir, Couture and Big Nog would have still handled him with relative ease. Dude’s ceiling was as a top 7-10 heavyweight at the most, never a champion
He would have never made it to the top 5. Werdum, Cain, JDS, and Mir all would have finished him. And it wouldn’t have been close. He will always be the toughest guy at the BBQ and that’s about it
@@Dovah21 Gotta say, for a professional athlete Kimbo Slice looks like he's spent too much time doing biceps curls and not enough time doing squats and deadlifts.
@@BigUriel sometimes I don't understand why.. I start to think only Michael. Tyson has knew it the importance of legs strength...the legs are the most important thing if You want to put power in your blows.. (punch)
The video is sped up a bit, so the algorithm doesn't match it with an original copyrighted video. Many do that, so they don't get struck. Watch the "Everything Wrong With" series. Most of them are played slower.
@@lacydo I think he did too big homie bo wasn’t really ready for that type of style of fighting yet should have kept on training for many months before stepping in on that type of fighting sport street fighting Intimidation not shake these guys boots in that sport they are trained mixed martial arts fighters..
I just saw a post on Facebook about Kimbo and everyone was saying how he's so great and how he'd beat anyone in the ufc and here he is getting his ass handed to him by a guy smiling and laughing while he's kicking kimbos ass😂😂 fight lovers on the street is different than fighting a real fighter
limbo was a 90day wonder. he was hyped up because of his street fighting. he had very little pro fessional training. I would love to know what he was paid. he would have a better chance in the we wrestling. he died young.
@@stringtheoryguitars4952 To me it's an impercievable difference which has multiple benefits. That lady was bribing me to come over and sex with her. Such a terribly manipulative and damaged woman. Keeping my distance is working for now. The damage is already done and have avoided relationships since. Those leg kicks were brutal.
This just popped up on my feed… My kid played football with Matt in high school ,they used to call him meat… He was as crazy as hell.. Was a great football player and I believe he went to Purdue and then played in the NFL for the NY Giants… He was a tough crazy SOB
Imagine if you caught one of those powerful kicks right in your tender man fruits. What would you do? A Mitrione blow to the tender berries, the family jewels, the plums, the low hanging coconuts, your balls, the purse, those big ol brittle beans. Could you keep on fighting?
@@joethekinghawk7514 Those steroid guys are real tough for about 2 minutes. Of course Kimbo was on a lot more than just steroids. As soon as the fight went to round 2 it was over.
As a boxer this is a whole different game. Once the feet get involved it's just completely different. You're so used to looking at the torso and the hands and face that when feet get in involved you get confused as Kimbo did...
Its called chopping the tree. Doesn't matter how big you are. Its a strategy. You attack the leg. Without the legs you can stand up. No matter how tough you are.
@@Dikwili who knows. Fedor was still knocking people out and taking arms. And even in the fight with Matt. They both connected and went down. It was incredible. Fedor just went down harder.
So glad limbo went on tuf. I used to watch his backyard fights and based on those figured he was just a tough thug. Seeing him on tuf was eye opening. Dude was so humble. so kind and encouraging. RIP kimbo.
Yeah, real humble and kind when he was hoping, praying, and cheering when another guy got hurt. They knew he would be the first guy they would call back even though he was busted up and didn't deserve it.
All due respect to kimbo, but this was a classic case of the toughest guy at the bar versus a trained combatant. Matt went out there happy as can be knowing he was gonna have an easy night and get a big payday for it. That said Kimbo definitely showed at points through his career that he had been training hard and learning a lot. If he would’ve gotten into professional fighting earlier in life he could’ve been damn good.
pretty much. he did well considering his lack of experience, but he was already getting old by the time he got into strikeforce. There was only so much he could move up before hitting a wall.
Yeah I was surprised kimbo seemed to have decent wrestling. Props to him for focusing on fighting and obviously training, but it was too late of a start for his career unfortunately. RIP
That was Matt's 2nd pro fight... kimbos first mma fight was in 2007, while Matt's was 2009.. matt was probably still playing football while limbo was training for mma..
Actually the other way around. This mma kid wouldn't have a chance in the old street fights. Kimbo was a strong solid puncher with boxing skills and power..
@@carmineredd1198 Controlled space, center of the octagon, outstruck and outgrappled him. I scored correctly, you're just blind because Kimbo isn't a "bred MMA" guy. Always humble and always a fighter. Even while literally dying in the cage because his heart was about to explode. Stfu.
The reason why Kimbo got exhausted so quickly is not entirely a cardio thing. Kimbo's sloppy technique is inefficient and burns a lot of energy, and in grappling exchanges he relied entirely on physical strength, which also burns a lot of energy.
kimbo was so scary in the yard, but only when he went professional i realized how bad stamina and technique he really had. for a short amount of time in the right circumstances kimbo was brutal but he really profited from the "being at the right time at the right place" abusing the early days of internet sensationalism
Glad he called off the fight. You could tell that by the end, Matt was starting to hold back a little, because Kimbo was barely strong enough to defend himself. By the end, I was practically begging for the ref to end the fight.
I still give Slice credit. He went from internet backyard fighting to the big leagues with little training. Plus he had the balls to get in there with fighters that had superior skill....
@@rubendiego2012 damn i bet you almost jumped off a bridge when wilder got whooped 3 times by Fury, its weird when people come to youtube to show their inferiority complex😬
Never understood the fascination with Kimbo... he could beat up untrained guys off the streets and talk a lot of shit. We all saw when he fought guys with actual ability
I've heard the saying "he beat him like he stole something" before, but in this fight he really did just that. He could've submitted him several times, but each time he let up like he intentionally wanted to prolong it so he could beat him some more.
@@coutiya2007 he stood straight up and didnt even attempt to block or answer them kicks.. he curled up like an infant at the end.. he musta been dog tired to be standing that straight up eating kick after kick..
@@soramirez5473 my background is in taekwondo, American kickboxing and i only have loose knowledge on wrestling, as my teacher taught olympic judo and taekwondo. he didnt teach us judo as i wasn't in that class, but when me and some of the other guys would do mixed sparring striking and wrestling, he'd instruct us on common ring techniques counters, reversals to prep us for grappling in the street should it come to that. I specialized in Kickboxing later, i gathered the knowledge on wrestling to not fall victim for common locks, shifting COG to avoid takedowns and it served me right. Kimbo just thought he could 'thug it up' in the octagon. And it showed so often
Mitrione was so well-rounded back then, considering how inexperienced he was. Matt could've had a crazy good career if he hadn't fallen in love with the KO. Quick, athletic, leg kicks, good subs.
There's levels to this game. Mitrione was showboating and laughing against a newer MMA fighter like Kimbo but when he got tested by veterans he got his dome knocked off and was forced to choose another career path.
This win is actually respectable. The YEAR is 2010 - This was around the PEAK of Kimbo and MANY are actually fearful to step into the ring against Kimbo Slice.
