As the typical day consumes the ordinary frail feminine, her thoughts wander further into a deeper void of the mind, the alter-ego.
This emotional voyage sets her to overcome this trance, beautifully in her own snazzy demeanor.
The announcement of the music video clip “Under Your Spell” by KimoKal marks the very first video clip ever released by the duo. Debuting on the first day of 2015, the clip revolutionises Indonesia’s Music Videos from a whole new different angle.
Conceptualised by Rizki Firdaus, a freelance artist which interests are based on creating multi-dimensional graphics through geometric architectural planes, and directed by Risky Jusuf Iskandar, an in-house director hailing from AVCD productions, the video clip translates the song “Under Your Spell” almost literally. Depicting the constructed freedom of movements within one’s alter-ego, blatantly portraying an intense journey within one’s mysterious mind by fashionably expressing it through bizarre and quirky movements. Continuity shooting is richly used and carefully edited to illustrate the inward travelling through the spiderweb-like branching of the alter-ego’s thoughts, where the places and spaces set apart from the chaotic clash between one’s self and ego. Kay Tadjoedin’s choreography was remarkably conveyed in such attention to detail that each movements successfully clarifies Kallula’s vocals and Kimo’s electronic textures within the composition of the music video clip.
