I (188cm,at that time 80kg) in 2018 had the privilege of a training session in a Tokyo Dojo with that time Judo world champion Ami Kondo (150cm, 48kg).I took her at her Gi and shoulder and pushed her backwards for nearly two minutes hoping to bring her down and apply some kind of osaekomi. Then something occurred beneath me.I didn't regard her legs and was foot swept.I went down on my palms and Kondo all of a sudden stood with her arse precisely over my neck and grapped under my armpit. What followed was a sankaku jime in 100% perfection.I was half turned to the side,my right arm was armbared by Kondo's arms,my left arm was immobilized between Kondo's screwdriver like legs and my head so I even could not tap.The influx of blood and oxygen to my brain was extremely jammed.I fainted and was slapped back to consciousness by the ref and by Kondo who helped me up.
@@non-stopnewaza9266 in his book Komlock he specifically mentioned that he successfully use this Kosen technique in BJJ tournament. I'm sure it would be fun rolling with his style of newaza.
If you like the song at 2:56, let me know and I'll include it the next time I make a compilation, so you can listen to it without me talking on it. I only used the free music that comes with the imovie software on Mac.
@@judojudo3808 yes I remember you, there Is not such thing of KIMURA or classic UDE GARAMI, the UDE GARAMI can do It to the shoulder or elbow, and perhaps to te wrist, in Judo the kansetsu waza It's only alowed to the elbow, if you do UDE GARAMI to the shoulder or perhaps to the wrist, It Stills been UDE GARAMI.
I'm going to try and use "Judogi" from now on. I know the term ude garami is used in Judo, but I use kimura because I want people from the BJJ, grappling and MMA communities to find my content. I have noticed that technical developments in wrestling are adopted by the grappling, BJJ and MMA community quickly, but technical developments in Judo, especially in newaza, largely go unnoticed, so my goal is to make people aware of these developments and bring credit to the athletes that are performing these techniques in competition.
@@non-stopnewaza9266 doy you know why It Is call KIMURA?. Because Mazahiko KIMURA defeated Helio Gracie with an ude GARAMI, and Gracie had the brilliant idea to rename It as KIMURA... Mazahiko KIMURA when became a profesional wrestler named himself Mazahiko ude GARAMI, brilliant muck for that ones that changed the ude GARAMI to KIMURA hahahaha
