We have been using Beast Academy math for our kiddos. Probably the most fun curriculum that our kids enjoy! They read how to do the math through a cartoon comic. But thank you for all these recommendations for my 5 year old!
Thank you for this video! Would love to see one on how you get one on one time between the youngest girls. I have a 4 yo and 2yo and the younger is all over the place. Any tips and tricks for kids very close in age but not at the same level? Thanks!
Oh! I'm so glad you got the Gentle and Classical Primer! I bought it for next year too! Honestly I'm so excited for it, but have also been feeling a bit of buyers regret because it's so expensive and I feel like it's more of an extra than a necessity, and I didn't consider how expensive the book list was going to be on top of it all! 😅 (Im trying to source from my library but theres a lot that they dont have and I also kindof just want to know that I have everything when I need it... Ya know?) But I love watching your videos and the fact that you picked it too makes me feel better and more confident! Can't wait to hear more about how you use it! Please keep up the wonderful content!
Hi Brittany love your videos! I have a 3yr old so i need to go back and look at your videos for her. Love your style and techniques. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing the Gentle and Classical Primer! I had not heard of the curriculum before and it looks super fun. It looks like the digital version of the teacher's guide is currently free from their website :)
I really wanted TGATB LA curriculum to work; but after some switching back a forth for a bit, I traded it for AAR, and I have not regretted that choice for a moment. I love the systematic approach, and it's very engaging and beautiful.
Aww thank you Ashlee!!!! I think AAR requires more prep work in the beginning but overall it has gotten my daughter reading despite her speech-delay. So overall I am happy with the program. 😍
I'll check out Gentle and Classical, looks great. We are finishing Elementail Phonic Level 2 and heading into 3 next month. My friends keeps encouraging me to check out All About Reading. It seems to be fun and impactful.
Ooh I’ll try that as one of my kids really needs to improve handwriting. My eldest child is currently getting frustrated with the IXl app and finds its strict and wants to go back to mathletics especially as he was able to play live which motivated him. I do love that IXl has maths and English and shows you how to do the maths equations independently. What are your thoughts? Are there any other apps you can recommend?
IXL has been the only app or online supplement I have used in my homeschool. I am really not familiar with anything else. For handwriting I really have loved using HWOT and sometimes even a dry erase marker and a board.💛
Love your curriculum picks! For the elemental phonics, did you print off of TPT and bind yourself, or is there somewhere to purchase it spiral bound already? Thanks!
It is from Gentle and Classical Press you can buy them separately for only 8.99.💛 shopgentleclassical.com/products/kindergarten-morning-binder?_pos=2&_psq=morning&_ss=e&_v=1.0
I’m curious, you call your daughter a pre-k level for this next year, yet you have a fair amount of kindergarten level curriculum for her. Obviously, do what works best for your kiddos and family! You know her best! I just wouldn’t consider her pre-k if you’re doing that much kindergarten stuff 😂
Because I don’t want to admit my baby is getting older lol 😂 In all seriousness she is still 4 I believe that is the only reason why I labeled this video as Pre-k instead of kindergarten
@@brittanyolga that makes total sense! lol 😂 my second oldest will be starting this fall with a gentle roll into kindergarten as she’ll be 5 the first week of September. But I’m not sure if she’ll be ready for the full load of kindergarten in the fall 😅 one of the great parts of homeschooling! We’re likely going to do a transitional semester and start full on kindergarten in the January time frame!
@@brittanyolgaI’m the same way! My kid is almost 6 but feel like he’s just not quiet ready for K curriculum. I’m hoping over the summer we can get him there. 🤞
