I'm an old goat and suppose to be crying in my beer as I watch the old stuff, lamenting that all "the good stuff" is long gone.... Not so much. These guys are fabulous.
BTW... I turn 66 next month.... I have watched the Quarantine Sessions so many times now.... Classic. Let me anger some other old folks.... I enjoy this band, even though they are not in the same genre, as muck as I liked Pink Floyd.... OK, there I said it...
I’m with you, Drew. When I first heard these guys I immediately thought of original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green, Pink Floyd Meddle, early Led Zeppelin. This band totally rocks!
Every time I hear this song 2 things happen...1) I repeat it at least once (you can decide the intentions of any pun 😂) and 2) I wish my Pops was still with us here on Earth because he is responsible for introducing me to his music and music in general, which shaped my absolute love for this artform and my own personal musical journey since before I can remember. I am positive he would have LOVED their whole sound. I always am feeling the missed opportunity because Ill always owe him this introduction. And King Buffalo 🤘
I almost can’t listen to anything else lately. Never heard of them until the lockdown started in April. I just started running playlist based on groups I liked. The Steve Wilson/Porcupine Tree list had King Buffalo in the rotation. I immediately started buying all their stuff digitally and ordered every album on Vinyl. Bands like this come around maybe every 20 years.
You guys are killers! - We appreciate you so much. Man, just give me a concert with King Buff and All them Witches and I can die a happy man. (*The set's must be at least 17 hours each).
Those are the two of my favourite bands Ive gotten into hard core lately. On my space-fuzz-stoner eye opening past year or so. I have listened many and all the witches and king buffalo top the chart. Inspiring, next level shiat. Cheers
As far as I'm concerned these 3 guys are the best band of the 21st century! And proud of them representing our neck in the woods with some great music!
Thank god I heard All Them Witches one day and put their station on Pandora and got mesmerized by this sound and had to screen shot who it was. Now I have King Buffalo on repeat(er) constantly! Proudly supporting on my car, the sticker I got buying two of their albums.
This band is so addictive. The clarity of the vocals, the beautiful mix between the melodic and distorted guitar/bass, the level of tightness between the drums and the bass. I can't stop listening to King Buffalo. And then to see that they're from Rochester - all the better!! Keep 'em coming...
This live performance is fantastic. The Repeater EP is amazing. I can't believe it hasn't garnered more critical attention. From start to finish, an absolute sonic rock journey of saga-like proportions. I love it.
if yall came around in the 70s you guys would've been a household name... but in this day and age it's sad to see WAP as a hit.. my personal opinion. you guys are awesome and thank you for your music that guides me on my psychedelic adventures
I watch the quarantine sessions literally every week. Goddamn this is a fucking amazing band. I’ve shared these to every human I can think of - everyone is blown away.
Just discovered these guys a month ago - thanks to Gastao Moreira a great music specialist here in Brazil (Kazagastao UT channel). Since then I have listened to them every single day. Fantastic, amazing band - seriously good as a commenter mentioned below. Long live to this band. Music and art transform lives!!
I'm so deep into their catalogue now that I'm starting to think I've got it all wrong. There is no way they are this good or everybody would know right? Live they are even better than awesome (Toronto). Latest stuff is 💯also.
It's partly frustrating & partly just rewarding that I got to see anything, but I caught their last song or two opening for Elder a few years ago and they were amazing!
Wow... watch out for the Black Sabbath & Soundgarden riffs whilst the bass player goes all Cliff Burton on us at times! Amazing tunes fellow rockers...
Ill never forget you guys blowing me and my friends minds when you went on tour with The Sword a few years back...You played a show in SLC and opened up with this I think and became a huge fan ever since. Thank you for the tunes.
My favorite band of the 2005 generation, and on. As the guitarist stated to Pete Pardo on the Sea of Tranquility interview, Pink Floyd is a defiinite influence. I'd say, "More" Soundtrack and especially "Meddle". Not "Dark Side..." nor "Wish You Were Here"
Saw them open for All them Withches several years back in North Carolina. Absolutely killed it. Had never heard of them before that. Very appreciative of the introduction being a live experience.
Absolute mesmerising beauty, that music was so tranquil & takes you on a journey. So much ability & skill, you all work together with such ease, a real band. Hope you all the best, as you bring so much positivity in a negative world.
They sound like a cross between Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath... Floyd's psychedelia meets Sabbath's heaviness.. They have been on the loop on my phone all this weekend. Cannot get them out of my head Only goes to show there is a lot of great music being made in the underground and just waiting to be found.
lucky enough to have seen you in Portland at a tiny club a few years back... picked my copy of Repeater! Keep up the great work and thanks for three upcoming lps!!! What a gift.
