SOTD: Dove Men Care face wash, Proraso green pre-shave, Arko soap, King C Gillette razor, Voskhod blade, Omega alum, Dickinson's witch hazel, Dove Men Care face lotion, Pinaud Classic Vanilla aftershave splash. My nine year-old son practiced along side without a blade. Mom thought we both smelled great. A great way to start my Sunday.

Great shave and beautiful flowers! If it’s the same Red Stripe we have in the states it’s imported from Jamaica, short stubby bottle with red and white color scheme. That meal sounded wonderful as well Paul. SOTD is a Edwin Jagger DE89 head on a WCS brass handle, Lord Platinum Class blade second use, no preshave today, Tabac shave stick, RazorRock Amici synthetic brush, Thayer’s witch hazel, and Pinaud Special Reserve aftershave. Another enjoyable Sunday shave video. My SOTD: Since I'm out of town today was a simple shave. Nivea shaving stick using a Van Der Hagen boar brush, my Rex Ambassador with an Astra blade (3rd use). Post-shave was the Osma alum block, Thayer's cucumber witch hazel, Aqua Velva ice blue cooling aftershave, and Gillette sensitive skin aftershave lotion. A nice, smooth, cut-free shave.

With all the recipes you advertise with your shave videos you really should consider publishing a cook book for us wet shavers. Recipes, photos of razors, soaps, and brushes and shaving tips with advice for those starting out in wet shaving as well as for seasoned shavers

Paul i saw one of these razors in sainsburys it was advertised at £20 -i didnt buy it at the time, but I was in a couple of weeks later and couldnt believe they had it down to £13 - i snapped it up right away - that and 5 blades incl - it was a steal - well worth that money and ive used it several times since - a good not overly fancy non aggressive razor - very happy with it

SOTD 1932 Canadian Pre War Gillette Tech Razor loaded with a Kai blade 3rd use. Lathered up Barrister and Mann Cheshire Soap with PAA Atomic Rocket Brush. Finshed off with Thayers Lemon scented with mentholated crystals added, Mennon Skin Bracer, Lorrielle Energizing After Shave and Toner then Nivea Balm.

Another great shave and beautiful flowers thanks to Mrs. H! My SOTD was Stirling iced pineapple with pinaud clubman bay rum AS. Razor was my Gillette slim twist white handle loaded with a wilkinson sword saloon pack blade. Lunch was a beef brisket smoked with pecan and hickory with a side of baked beans and potato salad! Now, everytime I look at Mrs H flower arrangement I remember what you've said about Jill Snoddon. How stunning they are today! That's probably my favorite brush of yours. My SOTD tomorrow will be a Proraso Green and Aqua Velva Ice Blue shave using a Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow blade in a King C Gillette razor or a vintage Gillette in case I find and buy one from an antique store in my area. The heat wave is about to return soon, which calls for what I have to do: a menthol shave

I used PAA for the first time last night, Paul. Stunning scent and performance from their soaps. One of the only vegan bases, beyond Caties Bubbles, that's tremendous quality. I'm in the States, Louisiana to be exact. We have two hurricanes coming this week, scary stuff. Have a great weekend Paul!

Happy Sunday Paul! The flowers are so beautiful and calming...thank you Mrs H!! There is nothing finer than a mug of caramel flavored coffee (made with creamer and raw cane sugar of course) and Paul H shaving; very cheering. I like my Semogue SOC blond boar brush. It gets very soft with a decent backbone. I guess the only issue with the brush is that the knot eats the lather. I found no such issue with a synthetic. My best natural fiber brushes are the gel-tip badger knots, which feel so luxurious, are still lather hogs. Is it a sin to prefer a great synthetic? The King C Gillette blades: some shavers say these are re-branded Gillette Platinum blades, however, reading the blade box it says "Designed in Boston". I'm inclined to think these are a Gillette Platinum with a refine grind, bevel, and stropping. There are wonderful blades; sharp, smooth, long-lasting. I choose them for my shave of the day too. SOTD: Edwin Jagger DE89 razor loaded with a King C Gillette blade (5th use). Pre-1960 Williams Mug soap (this could be from the 1930's) lathered with a PAA Atomic Rocket brush. The vintage Williams is a lather treat and have an awesome post-shave face feel. Traditional 3 pass plus pick-ups shave. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and PAA Sacre Bleu aftershave (an homage to Ice Blue Aqua Velva). A great BBS result and I smell of Vintage Williams Ice Blue Aqua Velva but with a more complex and pleasing scent. Nice shave result Paul. I really enjoyed seeing the vintage Schick Electric cordless. Anything from yesteryear is fascinating to me, especially steam locomotives, aircraft, and automobiles! This razor is pretty mild IMO, easy to use though👌 No end to the talent of Mrs H, beautiful flowers today😎 The Schick electric razor is awesome, the internal batteries have likely gone bad keeping it from working even if plugged in🤔 Can be restored I would think. SOTD: PAA shave, Cube, La Tierra Mojada soap/splash, Perigrino brush, Parker Variant w/Swede blade, alum, witch hazel and 5 in 1 balm...BBS👍 Great video again. Enjoy!

Hiya Paul. Greetings from Australia. Funny enough it's been very windy here in Sydney today too! Might have to try that soap. My shave today was a Gillette Slim with Nacet blade, Stirling Orange Chill soap, with Chiseled face Sherlock AS, Prorasso balm and Nivea Men moisturiser.

Awesome flowers today, thanks mrs H. Don know yet the sotd, received a lot of samples from fellow wet shavers, will be trying new soaps for about a month (daily shaves). And on the agenda today some geocaching.

Wonderful shave, Paul. I haven't used that soap but I do own the KCG razor and find it delivers me a spectacular shave. KCG blades are some of the best I've used. SOTD - GSC Java TTO razor, KCG blade (new), artisan goat milk hand soap, homemade AS, Nivea Sensitive balm.

No shave today have to give the face a break today. Sunday meal will be a beer can chicken cooked on the BBQ smoker along with peaches and cream corn on the cob picked yesterday. Yum 😋

After all the reviews on the KCG razor, will it be in the line up like the new Wilkerson sword classic razor? Or is it a novelty?

Nice shave Paul, hope you's are all well. SOTD (for tomorrow) will be: Rex Ambassador. GIllette Super Stainless (Green) on it's second use. Stirling Orange Chill soap. Stirling Orange Chill post shave balm. RazoRock Big Bruce brush. And then to dry down with, the Lancaster Razor Works Black Sheep shave towel. A lovely bit of luxury for to finish the shave. It's like picking up a sheep and drying your face with it 🤣

As you know I’ve struggled with wet shaving as I’m new .. the razor I bought just didn’t agree with my skin.. would be a total blood bath along the jaw. But I bought this razor using the same blades as before and I rarely get a cut now. Can’t stop myself going into Taylor’s now to get a new soap 🤦🏼‍♂️ great vid 👍🏻

Do you not find the King C blades and the king c gillette razor combo too mild Paul? I use the blades in the R41 regularly it's amazing how smooth that is. Great shave as usual

Awesome shave! I like my King C Gillette razor and use it in rotation. Was that soap similar to Razorock soaps? That's a cool electric razor. Before I got into traditional wet shaving I used the Braun 3 and 5 electric foil razors. They did a good job, but it took forever to shave. I would get ingrown hairs and razor burn every so often too.

Sorry if it's been asked, but what other major brand razor would you compare this to as far as aggressiveness? EJ de89? Merkur 34c?

Good morning to you. Nice shave today. I really enjoyed seeing the old schick razor. Well i will be using today the manly stuff version of the merkur future. This is a really good razor. Rhe manly stuff musk shaving soap. This is a hard soap but lathers up very well with a lovely scent.. oh i will be using a dear barber pre shave oil and to finish the dear barber aftershave. That has a beautiful scent very classy. By the way i fancied the king c gillette and placed an order with gillette in england. I never realized that they would not deliver to ireland. (Strange??). Hi Paul sorry but what's the advantage of witchhazel I just got some stirling wintergreen witchhazel but not keen on it as its a strong deep heat smell so iv ordered there menthol orange to see if thats any good

How does the King c Gillette compare to the Lord L6 and/or the Wilkinson sword classic premium? I'm tempted to ask my partner for it for Christmas while it's on offer at £15 in Asda. I don't really want to end up with a razor I'll never use though. If it's on par with the Wilkinson sword I probably won't use it, if it matches the Lord L6 I would probably replace that razor (which cost me about £4.50) as my preferred razor since the L6 looks cheap and mine only shiny because I used a mild abrasive metal polish to remove the defects on the chrome finish My current favourite is the Lord L6, the Wilkinson sword is easier to handle but doesn't provide as close a shave and it doesn't handle 2-3+ days of growth very well and is only better then the L6 if you're shaving daily. I'm convinced the Lord L6 could take a full beard off and give a smooth shave in a single pass! I can't imagine I'd be buying the blades at 50p/blade though, it took ages for me to find the blades I like anyway, the Gillette Nacet which cost about 10p/blade and each providing at least 10 shaves 1p/shave

Another great video Paul. A word of caution, be careful about leaving that old Schick razor plugged in to charge. The given the age of the razor the rechargeable batteries are most likely nickel cadmium (NiCad). These batteries deteriorate with time. Usually at that point they just refuse to charge, but they can also internally short out, causing the battery pack to overheat, and possibly catch fire. Nice collector piece regardless!

If you have left overs of your Roast Beef, slice it the next day and put it on a sandwich with just some salt and mayonnaise. Trust, me, you'll thank me. Some tomato, onion, a nice cheese, and lettuce won't hurt either. Serve with some Kettle Cooked Potato Chips (Crisps), you have yourself a great meal.

Excellent shave Paul I think the King C Gillette is a great razor for the price. SOTD will be Gillette slim twist with Derby Premium blade simpsons ultra glide Bay Rum then Old spice After shave and Nivea aftershave balm. DOTD is Roast chicken jacket potato and salad, MrsH provided beautiful flowers again enjoy your day all the best.
