Yes, a lot of empty nesters find themselves in a similar arrangement. One likes to read or watch tv and one likes to have lights out, and one likes it to be warm, another likes it cool. Oh no,separate rooms and the king not liking duvets and wanting his bedroom to be cool,how unique,not.Now that our children have all left home my husband and I have our own bedrooms as we have totally different sleep patterns and neither of us would get any sleep if we still shared a bed and I love my duvet while hubby prefers blankets and he likes the windows closed at night while I like fresh air.So nothing unusual about couples caring enough about each other to work out a way for them both to get a good night's sleep.
