@@daMillenialTrucker If it is a pet or rescue, that is one thing, but even so, keeping venomous snakes especially king cobras is playing with fire if you don't know what you're doing.
@@estevaoabel3439 alright, first of all, look at when he feeds them later. You can see the venom slowly oozing out. Secondly, doing that would be just cruel.
Me as fuck. Even though I got bit by my moms cat because the POS had matts and didn't want to be shaved. It gave me an infection up the arm and I almost had to be hospitalized.
Most of king cobras aren't aggressive towards humans because they are quite intelligent and feed exclusively on other snakes. That said, it is still extremely risky without having anti venom on hand.
Of course it s possible. It s not against the laws of physics. All animals can choose not to bite. The issue isnt posibility... it s danger. There s no margin for error. Should a python bite you it leaves a scratch. But one bite from a cobra is all it takes for death. If a dog bites, even a lion if it decides to bite it s just one bite. You might survive. but one bite from venomous snakes and it s game over.
This guy came down to earth with predispositions to understand this snake. Very few people on earth can afford to handle such a close, royal cobra full of venom. And gaining the trust of such a fearful animal is a gift
Why do you consider it a gift ? It's total stupidity. It does not belong in a house with humans. This sorry ass desperate pittiful man better not let that pos escape and harm an innocent child. .Wierdos are the reptilians who love these reptiles .They are hideous and useless to us people who prefer company of our family and all the children included in our extended family .
I love how you are passing your legacy by showing people your compassion, love and understanding of these magnificent reptiles Chris! With you passing your knowledge and wisdom you're inspiring others to snake conservation for future generations. 😊❤🐍
@@NightWalker989 How is the frozen snake alive if its frozen? Isn't that frozen thing just a myth... since bein frozen also meant that your blood would also freeze killing you permanently.
Am I the only one who feels that Oracle is like: “Dad not while the camera is rolling. I don’t want the internet knowing you still help me.” What a precious noodle
Chris I would NEVER want to see you get bit, but I can’t lie that I’m always like “is this gonna be it, is this gonna be the day”... yet always amazed how tolerant your Kings are, Proof if your work with them. You’re awesome. Please be safe
Of course any individual video of his you watch is not “going to be it” . He’s never show it. It’s like a main character in a tv show who escapes danger for the 100th time, and you know each episode he’s not going to die because he’s the main character. In this guys case you can be sure that he would include in the title that he was bit.
@@erudite60 True, but I'm with Danielle on this, I'd like to hear Katie's story in more detail. Like how was she examined and treated (I know Chris mentioned, she lost 5 bones in the surgery) how long was she healing till she was completely healthy, how and what was she fed while in recovery etc.
I thought "Oh this guy is free handing it, it must have its venom glands removed" and then i saw it shooting venom while eating and sheer size of this guys balls was finally apparent. Good shit my guy, its clear it trusts you, but like the other 500 comments please be careful lmao. Good luck brother
I mean king cobras can be very docile. You can tell what a snake is going to do by its body language, a snake wont bite without first showing you warning signs first. So hes not thinking differently than any other handler does.
I must say this is one of the most impressing snake vids I have ever seen! I mean, you are not just handling this big venomous snakes, you actually cuddle with them and they allow you. Looking into their eyes you see an intelligent creature and I cant help but wondering what they are thinking about. Astounding video!
Just everything about king cobras looks so amazing. Its sculpted-like face looks like something completely out of a fantasy animal/monster, its scales are also very beautiful, its eyes almost looks identical to the solar eclipse.
I have a terrible phobia of snakes and am trying to overcome this. I found myself watching this in fascination. I still got the shivers when I looked at them from head to tail but when looking at the close up.of their faces, I found them oddly cute.
That’s so great that you are watching videos to help with your phobia! Getting exposed to it seems to be a great way to overcome it. Some snakes are scary, but I still love them! King Cobras are one of my favorites! Hope your phobia goes away and you can continue to be fascinated by and appreciate these animals!
Dya know, I never really looked into a snakes eyes, had no reason to but my God what a stunningly beautiful animal they are. This video has changed my whole way of thinking, they aren’t savage killers they aren’t evil slimy brainless oxygen thieves. They really are quite majestic beautiful creatures and by all accounts judging by these two actually have a brain that works. Great video Chris I shall look forward to the next one. Be safe Steve (UK)
Just the pure fact that you can do this with cobras is mind blowing. Hats off to you. And much respect. I love all animals. Especially snakes and spiders. But this has got to be the coolest thing I've seen with cobras. 🤘🤘
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this documentary style! So fascinating! I recently got my first snake ever, a Children's Python. He is my little dragon. I love him so much!
The gentleness that cobra shows is unbelievable!!! I knew they were intelligent but had no idea just how much. That snake clearly has some trust in you
The intellectual demeanor of the King cobras is astounding. You just can tell they know the handler and see how they change the expression when food arrives.
I'm really amazed how your cobras are so polite🤗. Have anyone here saw kevin of chandler and rusty of tyler? And all of their cobras? They always put hoodie on them and try to attack them😅😆 Yours was so tamed and polite,😍
Chris my daughters and I could watch you all day everyday !! Very entertaining ,resourceful and we admire all of your dedication and pride you put into all your vids !! Lots of love 💓 Lou the the girls from 🇦🇺xxx
King Cobras are very intelligent snakes, while they are very dangerous, they get used to the presence of their owners and don't see them as a threat. Every snake is different, and only the owner of the snake knows their individual personality. The reason you can't handle a Black Mamba like you can a King Cobra is because King Cobras are a much more confidant snake, and they seem to feel less threatened by their surroundings . Black Mambas are very nervous snakes, which makes them very unpredictable and more dangerous. The King Cobra's intelligence and confidence is what separates it from other snakes, and they seem to know that they are the King! All hail Ophiophagus hannah, King of the snakes!
Oracle, the very snake that entranced me from the start and I guess you could say, pushed me into another direction as my feelings for snakes. Because of your videos on him, I now have a whole new respect for snakes and their place in our environment. Do I want one, nope... I'm just happy to watch and learn lol. Both he and Katie are such beautiful animals and are lucky to be in your care. By the way, when do we get to see the new snake room?? It's looking amazing!
King cobras are the most intelligent reptile in the world. I've seen a few people who have relationships like this with their King. Could just be luck but I think they're smart enough to realize the person isn't a threat and is the one who feeds them lol.
I truly enjoy your videos Chris. I'm a retired Herp because of cancer and miss my snakes and working with George can horn and Bill Haas back in the day when younger to learn how to think on the snakes level . You remind me of them with how you coexist and inhabit with them. God Bless
I love watching your videos, especially the King Cobras. It's very evident, with how you speak of them, how much you care for these "googly eyed, puppy dog faced" creatures.
Another great video. You provide very rare insight into proper care of some very unique reptiles. The narration is eloquent and entertaining. Thank you.
You have a great manner for creating your vids and expressing yourself. Really great vid. You are now one of my favorite wildlife visual illustrators. Lots of luck, and be safe
“Aka the butler” part got me 😂 Also I wonder if Kings or snakes experience any type of ASMR lol. It kind of seems like Katie got goosebumps when you put her at 4:31 and she popped her hood out lol
Dude love the narration I always did wonder the stories behind your cobras... And I love the way you describe the aspect of Butler and safety and don't confuse it with "love" from the animal one of the best explanations of the snake and keeper relationship
Thank you for showing us that every creature is capable of a friendly disposition, loyalty and love. So impressive to see how you've earned their trust and that doesn't happen by accident. They can tell what ur about, overpowering generations of instinct programming them to be cautious and defensive but they know you're a good "hooman" and have the face of "all good bro".
That 's exactly what I usually say about the 'pet-tube' channels, too. I can't say what it is, but something here is different compared with other pet tube channels. But what I say also is if you want to earn trust - you 've to give trust first.
Absolutely amazing, the female King Cobra is the only reptile that actually makes a nest and guards it during incubation. By far the most intelligent snake on the planet, probably the man reason they are very tame around you. Let me know if I’m wrong brave man, also the King is my absolute favorite then the fearsome South American Bushmaster is my 2nd favorite. May God richly bless everyone ✝️🇺🇸! PS I always enjoy your video podcast very much!
Dang Chris, Oracle is soooo beautiful!!! King cobras have the most beautiful scale structure on their heads, and Katie has really beautiful eyes!!! P.S your narration in this video is THE BEST!!!❤
Stunning animals, that demand respect at all times! You're a person like I've never seen! Thabk you for your care and bonds with these amazing and dangerous animals!
It is UNBELIEVABLY hard to gain the trust of a venomous snake. They are just always so high-strung and primed for violence. This is not something you can do with any venomous snake. Many snakes are WAY too reactive to movement to even begin developing a relationship with. This guy is unbelievably skilled, and is also lucky to have snakes that can be calm enough to learn. EDIT: The issue with maintaining the trust is if they get defensive or scared for any reason, it can reset all of the progress you have made. It can set you back MONTHS of socialization effort. Socialization for venomous snakes generally means having them trust you enough not to try to kill you every chance they get. THIS VIDEO is so beyond incredible. The achievements here are nothing short of historic. Katie's eyes are incredible. They look like an eclipse. Edit 2 - 9 moths later 6-16-24 - This is still beyond anything I have seen elsewhere. If you had told me it was possible for a cobra to be that calm around any human, I would have called you a fool. This is still mind blowing.
This was actually amazing to watch! It's almost unreal! Being in the presence of a king cobra and not having the hood pop would be all I needed to smile. Absolutely astounding
Love, of course is beautiful, but I think trust is way under-rated. When an animal trusts you, they trust you with everything they have - their whole life. It's a really beautiful and precious thing :)
I subscribed. Taking care of animals is a very virtuous trait. And u are taking care of snakes who doesn't get much love as other animals or reptile in this case. Keep it up👍
It's great to see the close bond and mutual respect you have with each other even though the King Cobras are 💯% wild to begin with and and have accepted as safe to be close hand too well done as well for the other work you do for prevention of mistreatment to other snakes and reptiles !!
