How life has dramatically changed since this time, always think it is a shame how many has created a new world to what was a time of happiness and hope, everyone at that time didn't care what they looked like, what they wore or how much money they had, as long as they had each other they were happy. Makes me think how this new world era is not what it should been and what it should have been, thank you to reality television, politics and jugmental opinions, you've really done us proud! There’s a lot wrong with the social life of humans now but much as I love this film the living conditions for the majority of people in those days were terrible and infant mortality and life expectancy were amongst the worst in the developed world. Interesting that we see the economic migrants departing on large ships while people arriving here on rafts now are demonised

yes very emotional' I Grew up in Ireland but moved to England with my family as a young boy' my Father was an only child and we used to go and visit his parents every year' each time we set off to come back again my grandmother would break her heart' it was emotional each and every time for years !
