@PoipoleBoi for recording I use obs to record from a elgato capture card to a hard drive and then just live record my sessions because im lazy and forgetful to clip each good clip i get to the switch. I will then record sessions like that till that's close to full & then clip the best clips from each session by skimming thru it, then edit together the clips for the general vibe I want for said montage then save other clips into a separate drive for clips separated into different folders for what kind of general clip they are. I would not recommend this as a system for everyone but it's my fucky system that works for me as far as editing: Sony Vegas 17
