Yes there was an element of danger to it when it came out I remember the high-school sub group it started venom, mercyful etc I just saw mercyful last Nov !!!!!🤟🤟
That's the King I remember from seeing him in concert several times in Chicago, especially at the Aragon Ballroom which is an intimate setting. Everyday is Halloween 🔥🎃🔥
King Diamond is the man with Respect.Back than their were alot of people who were trying to accuse him of alot things. In his interviews he was telling the truth. But still alot people hated him.Even the Priest.Cuase of his first album.Corpse without a Soul. The song NUNS HAVE NO FUN.The priest try to put him down cause of that song. But when King told the priest that their people"the priest's" what they did to the NUNS.The priest walk out of the interview. The truth hurts.King Diamond Rules. My Repects to the King.🤘🤘🤘🤘🖤
king diamond makes a good point. People love horror movies. Why do they hate evil rock music? its generally the same thing except you actually feel the evil through the music.
Heres the thing I don't like horror movies well not exclusively gory ones but I love heavy metal and lyrics about horror . I know it doesn't make sense but that's a how I'm wired.
As an atheist, there is good in the bible, and it's sad that most of it is stepped over.It seems people are motivated by ignorance to avoid the good lessons and morals in the bible (which are remarkably few for a book that is touted as 'the basis of morailty') and instead focus on the mythology,as if they could be make up for the harm they do by saying the ridiculous stories in the bible have to be taken literally.
King is my favorite of all time. Had his logo tattooed on my skin. That's a fan. Every year for Halloween, I am in full King attire. 50 ur old. Been listening since 14 is. Life is to short to judge others n there music... just enjoy the spirit of the King and all the memories we have while listening. Peace
Omg king is hilarious had mé laughing so hard "instead he sits up there , going aahaha! Those people people down there who Don't believe in me when the day comes im gonna roust em in hell haha " lmfao help me breathe
I'm a christian (I know, it seems kind of strange to be a christian, but one of your favorite singers is King Diamond and you like bands like Slayer, Death, etc.), and I think that God doesn't want to stop evil because he wants everyone to learn and experience what NOT to do
At the end of the day, King is teaching us some of the most important life lessons; think for yourself, don't be afraid to be different and don't decriminalize others for their way of life. I have no problem if people are satanists, unless it involves in harming other people in some way. I think the concept of satanism is very subjective and for me it symbolizes freedom of being who you want to be and being an individual.
@DanPat121 it may have been as he talks a ton about it to us on his talks and emails. He did say there have been a lot of quotes that have been wrong and many bad rumors which is one reason he decided to do these talks to the fans to clear up certain things personally.
King and I share the same beliefs for the most part although I won't call myself a "Satanist" because that word is used so much for something sick and derogatory. I don't believe in "God," but I do believe that Christ was a great man who would be horrified by Christianity. If he was indeed the son of God why didn't "God" save him from such a horrible death? People would nail King Diamond to a cross if they could! That's what scares me- fanaticism and true fascism. Burning records and persecuting musicians is disgusting!!!! I do celebrate Christmas- always have always will. However, I'm what is known as an "Atheist." I'm actually very complex. King Diamond is just one inspiration, but he's a man I wish would never die and be here forever. I feel the same way about my family and I feel that every man on this earth with an open mind is my brother. What has Christianity done? Deceived and destroyed people, made people murder other people, made evils like Hitler and Stalin possible! SO FUCK CHRISTIANITY!
You may already know this; but King is a LaVeyan Satanist, meaning he's an atheist who believes in a philosophy of rational egoism and liberation based on what he sees from the character Lucifer in the Bible. In other words he doesn't worship Satan; but rather takes his character as something of a loose role model and representation of humanity's repressed desires personified.
NoneOfTheAbove The proper, logical, realistic and ONLY way to identify a Christian is by knowing there speech and actions.. Murdering thousands of people is in 180 degree direct contrast to the teachings of Christianity....The Ten Commandments is a large and well known component of the very basics of Christian guidelines..."Thou shall not kill" is one of the commandments !! So calling hitler a Christian is like saying that water is dry....
Very Intelligent, King Diamond is. He can explain is beliefs and philosophy in a way that makes a lot of sense without needing to resort to attacks or ranting. I really respect that. Probably helps that I agree with what he's saying, though!
I like the way King lays it on the line between satanism and Christianity he holds nothing back I need to beat the truth yeah why believe in a god you have to be afraid of if if he's so Almighty then show himself so that he exists one hell of a performer King Diamond is awesome
" 'He he he, those people don't believe in me and when that final day comes I'm gonna roast them in hell!' " That's probably the single biggest reason I ceased to be religious.
I saw fate in 84 in the states 2 nites in one week with original line up one with exciter and two nites later with motorhead and exciter they played devil eyes live on the 2nd show
@7SeasonsovFireBlaze I remember learning about that at school. I can't remember the name of the dude who wanted to be crucified upside down, but if my memory serves me correctly, it was because he was sentenced to death via crucifixion, but didn't feel he was worthy to die the same way as Jesus, so chose to be crucified upside down so it wasn't the same. The inverted cross used by Satanists, however, is meant to show the opposite of Christianity.
KICK ASS !!!! I do loves me some vintage Mercyful Fate. You can see the beginning of Hank Shermann's onstage fashion statements that eventually closed this chapter of the band ha ha ha....
True knowledge about Satanism has been viciously kept out of public circulation. Satanism is not about drinking blood or killing babies. The Christian god requires in the Bible that people sacrifice animals to get forgiveness from sin. Satan never demanded that of anyone. www joyofsatan org
King always says he sings about Satanic Supernatural powers to make the fans aware of them so we can use them to have a better life. But what good is that if he does not tell us how to use them to get that better life?
Ok correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know... Satanism is a form of christianity... And wearing an inverted cross is a symbol against christianity... So if hes a satanist and he feels like mocking god, shouldn't he just avoid the whole cross concept in general?
Man are you wrong Ive been a King Diamond follower for 25 years Im also a Christian. But the first three albums or maybe first 5 are the baddest ass Metal
@austinthefreak actually satanism is the complete opposite of christianity. Christianity has all these restrictions on its followers while satanism has no restrictions.
@69drummerdan lol I am quoting King himself. are you saying he does not know which band was satanic and which one is not? Plus it is obvious that King is Satanic and Mercyful Fate is not. King himself has said this so many times
