Ah the glory days of metal. I'd give anything to go back to the 80's. This is how the shows were and how they should still be today. The music would start and everyone would go fucking crazy...not everyone STANDING around watching the bands like they do now. Seen Diamond several times, from late 86' to just a couple years ago, and he's kicked ass every single time. ALL HAIL KING DIAMOND!!! \m/ \m/

you can find that kind of crowd-right-at-stage-and-sometimes-on-stage in small clubs even today. of course the bands that play in those small clubs are not that famous, but often you will be surprised what good stuff there is in the world of rockmusic, especially metal.
Man. Thats so friggin coool. King rules! My dad actually met Mikkey Dee. That guy was like a giant. He was tall as hell. The show my dad saw him at was cancelled because of some kind of problem with the sound and king couldnt sing idk, but he asked my dad to sing some king diamond for him and he was like "daaamn. we might just get you to take kings place. " hahaha XD.

I was at this show. August 3, 1987 at The Stone in San Francisco. The opening band was Trouble. As for where is James. He appears for a few seconds on the right side of the stage at 2:27. No Jason at the show.
Both King and Lars is grown up in the same city in Denmark.... The city of Copenhagen... King was from a sub called Hvidovre and Lars was from a sub called Hellerup...
It was definitely in SF I have a video with King Diamond at the same place and the video says SF and the same bouncer is there and the stage is the same also.
@undertakerofevil It was a fun time, I sit back shut my eyes, smile, laugh at the memories. From GBH to Christian Death to The Adicts during the 80's, I had it good. All the music made me a sane person, no therapist could match the cure I received. I like when the yougins denounce me in what I've become, a calm middle aged guy, with a nice suit best for those in a casket (pay back is a bitch). You were born the right time, just find the wave that stokes you, it's out there somewhere?
Wraith6669able i agree with you, everytime i see a video of a concert i always see a lot of people standing there with their phones and cameras to record and take pictures, i mean come on, you pay a ticket to have fun ! thats the way its supose to be right ? :)
