Screaming the Gila chorus with thousands of people post-lightning storm in the hills of Colorado will forever be among the greatest concert memories I’ll ever have
Saturday night on the Tennessee run of shows they had a strawberry moon playing over them their whole set. Sunday was delayed cause a lightning storm. Definitely the best memory I'll problah ever have of a show and nature coinciding...if not one of the best overall.
first gizz colorado show I didn't attend, and was watching the that lightning storm thinking it was an omen for gizz to play hard. Craziest lightning storm I've seen in years.
If you weren't there, you cannot IMAGINE how incredible it was to watch this set with epic lightning streaking across the Colorado sky for miles in all directions. Unbelievable.
@@Needawholepailofwater basically after Gumboot Soup dropped they've adopted that aside from "phoning in" a few old sets at fest which I believe are due to time slots which have now been worked out so even fest sets are pretty fresh! Pretty sure it started around the time they were collecting tracks for Chunky. Which makes sense to switch it up to give them a decent selection.
Straws in the wind was something extremely special. You can even feel it through this video, his vocal performance, his stage presence. Ambrose had a crowd of over 4,000 people completely under his control, it was almost spiritual to be there among everyone
There were so many ppl that didn't have tix for the night show, given wristbands from friends to get in. This night was packed full of ppl/over capacity. We went back to our cars for the delay and lost our seats, but still had an unforgettable time in the trees.
Being rained out the first hour was kind of fucking sick, just having the shared experience of being stuck around together and talking to a bunch of gizzheads. I’ll never forget it
Looks like there's some pro-film makers capturing the performance in front. What this band truly needs is a full-scope in-depth cinematic Rockumentary movie, filmed on the road with them, culminating with a major live performance.
My first King Giz concert, couldn’t have asked for a better intro to them! The whole experience, even the storm before the show, was amazing. Thank you for sharing this!
Man, I keep coming back to this recording. This was a hell of a first Gizz concert to go to. I remember googling the lyrics to Supercell on the walk back to the car because it hadn't been released yet at this point and I hadn't heard it before. Absolutely killer setlist
I'm so stoked you uploaded all these. I was at all three shows and it's so fun to relive them. I can't decide which set is my favorite though. It's either between set 1 or 3. Set 2 was fun too but the night sets definitely had a different energy to them.
Couldn’t agree more. Set 3 was LEGENDARY, but Set 1 was so tight…Set 2 was awesome, but it just didn’t fit into the same category. Here’s to their next show here!!! 😈
Thank You king Gizzard and The Gizzards! Again Proving you are the hardest working band in Rock N Roll!!! Unreal Sets, these guys are legendary. We don't even know it yet.
I'm curious how they'll tour in 2024. I think they have a lot of power in determining where they want to play within the states, just up to them to figure out where or how large of an audience they want to play to.
Beginning of Pleura was all of us excited for the lightning. This entire set lightning was crackling above stage it was the coolest concert experience I've had
Yea. Where we were on row 2, nobody had any idea what was going on when that happened. Everybody was like “what?!” I thought someone jumped like 5 rows or something up there lol!
